Cemetech gives holiday present to Casio Prizm owners
« on: December 26, 2011, 06:06:42 pm »
KermMartian and tifreak8x has just released a beta of the first Casio Prizm Tetris clone, Tetrizm. One of the most popular game for TI calculators is now available to play for Casio's most recent models too!

It is currently not finished, but it is very functional and has multiple interesting game modes to play, such as the classic Marathon, Touchdown, High speed and Sadistic (no line block). It also features pretty great graphics and so far the gameplay is pretty good. There was a video of the game in action on Youtube that showcased the main game mode which was posted on Cemetech a while ago, along with screenshots in the thread where you can send bug reports and comments for the upcoming version 1.0 release.

Btw I played it and it's pretty great. The keys are quick key repeat, but it's not too bad and it actually makes it faster than the actual Tetris. :P

Try out Beta 2 if you get a chance, it polishes things with rotation and key debouncing a bit more.  Thanks for the feedback, everyone.

Cool to hear. Also as suggested on Cemetech it would be nice if you added Bastet mode (Bastard Tetris), where an algorithm tries to give you the worst possible block every turn. ;D

I thought about making Hell Tetris (tetris with a rounded bottom and physics-enabled tetronimoes)at one point.
In other news, Frey continues kicking unprecedented levels of ass.

I only have one suggestion: Adding grid-lines on the playing field. That's one thing that I like in Tetris, when it has grid-lines on the field.
