It's unfortunate about the criticism, but I'm glad to hear you'll still try to be around somewhat.

DJ, I hope stuff works out. You've done an amazing job as moderator, and I think the principles and ideals you have set with this forum are far above and beyond what a lot of other forums have. Good luck to you IRL, and I hope you get better soon.

Thanks everyone for the support. As Ashbad pointed out, though, my situation is not getting better. It has deteriorated over the past 1.5 years and it's kinda too late at this point. The only thing I can do is try to remain active here and find stuff to enjoy for as long as possible, as my site privileges diminishes over time.

I had planned since May 4th to post a topic explaining my situation, because I feel people here need to know what's the matter with me, especially the newer members who never heard about my past history, but it's rare that I feel like devoting effort in writing a very long post about such stuff, which is why it takes so long.

Well, when I am inactive despite not being at work, usually it means I am not feeling good enough to post and prefer to not spend energy doing so. The issue though is that times where I feel like posting are rarer now.

Also yet another false accusation came up today

The part in bold, specifically, implying that Omnimaga community is giving him crap, deliberately trying to cause him harm. Afterward you wonder why I even want to bother anymore...

It should never get as bad as your health.  I support your decision to take a break (not that you need my permission) and will help you in any way possible should you need it.

As for SirCmpwn, and I'm not supporting his decision here, nor his actions, but remember that he's under quite a bit of stress too.  He pretty much doesn't have a home a month from now.  So basically, we need to support him, just not when he is disrespectful.

Anyway.  Hopefully everyone in the anti-riot squad, Coders of Tomorrow, and Managers can work well together in keeping Omnimaga great!

I wish you luck DJ. knowing where your health has stood before and has been affected by life on this forum its good that you are taking another break.. keep paceing your self do what you can and enjoy life as best as you can. it may be hard and tough but so are you. you have made it this far, the only difference is a break from the responsibility is needed and more than deserved. moderating a forum like this is a big undertaking and you have dutily done so for years. threw bad times and the good ones as well.

Well a lot of ppl helped me, in fact in the past few months most stuff was brought to me by other moderators or they already dealt with most stuff while I was offline. It's just that I myself can no longer sustain the job.

Being a moderator is a high stress job and being a moderator when there is so much traffic is an impossibly stressful job that NO ONE can sustain that indefinitely.  You are doing the right thing.  Stay away from anything stressful for a while and you will surely bounce back.  Don't worry, it will all work out because you are reducing the stress which would make any one sick after a sufficient dose.  You have done a good job and no one can please everyone.   So don't worry about it
