Eeems goes away for a while
« on: September 24, 2009, 09:12:41 pm »
ok, so yeah...I stayed up very late two nights in a row programming, and I got caught, so yeah....I got my calc taken away and my password changed, so I only have access to the comp when my 'rent's log me in....so yeah....
I'm going to be semi-gone due to this fact, and all my progress is going to be halted...
I will be coming back when I get my calc/comp access back, which will be at the next reporting period...
So this means I'm not going to be as active on the forums or IRC for a few weeks, sorry about that...and I feel really stupid for doing that...but at least I should get my calc back and such, so yeah.
I'm going to log on to IRC and say goodbye now, and for all those I don't get to say goodbye to I'll say it now
goodbye for a little while guys

Darn.... How long is this going to be for? A week? Two? A month?! o_o

Also, remind me to teach you my ninja tricks for not getting caught staying up past bed time. They work 100% of the time so long as your parents don't check in on you while you sleep (which parents shouldn't be doing if you're in your teens)

Aw that sucks, x.x., I hope they don't wait too long before giving you acces back. My mom often took my calc away before because I spent too much time using it and in the final year at her home she took my internet down for 6 months because I spent too much time on it. As result, I moved x.x

See you soon!

Wow... this really reminds me of myself, a couple of years ago... O_o Almost the same situation (including the repeatedly staying up at night programming, getting caught, getting calcs taken away, passwords put on... lol)

yeah well my mom had been working till 12, so she got home and saw a light in my room or something...:/
but yeah, it was kind of stupid of me to do, and yeah, I don't know exactly how long this will be, but I'm trying to get on as much as I can (like 20 minutes per day x.x)
so yeah :/
oh well I'll be back in a while...now if I only remembered that little trick with the command prompt to change anybodies password from anybodies account.....jk

doesn't removing the batteries while not running a progam not do anything?

"Builderboy checks"

yep, no mem clear.

yeah but if Eeems' calc is old the lithium battery might be dead and not be able to retain the RAM content for extended weeks

That sucks Eeems :(  I hope it isn't too long until you get your calc back.

Just to play devil's advocate:  People need sleep, especially if you're working on a large project that you need to have a clear and active mind for ;)

well I don't think she removed the batteries, and I had a backup in the ROM, but it wasn't recent enough to have my bug fix
and I think the lithium battery is still good, but not good enough for a couple of weeks...
@simplethinker: yeah I know, but I was on a roll :D that doesn't excuse what had happened though...:/
