Ah I see now: "Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic." was enabled for some reasons. I disabled it now. Not sure why it got enabled.

I'm not sure why either, I went through and disabled it for everybody.

IIRC it was already enabled when i joined by default, just didn't work and didn't bother saying anything >.>

It's not enabled by default anymore.
