You told me privately that you've been planning this for quite some time, and I guess that this is where you execute it. Over the 11 months I've been here we've gotten to know each other pretty well, and it makes me sad to see this is the end. It is your choice to do this, and I won't stop you from making this decision. Either way, I will always remain your friend and I hope after this that you better about yourself and your life goes much better
and, trust me, you're not worthless; you're a great game developer, and even more importantly a good person. Good luck, and I hope we can keep in touch!

I'm 99% confident that he'll be back. The community loves DJ, and DJ loves the community. Sometimes it just takes time to see that and you can't see that perspective until its gone. Me and everyone else wishes you good luck and hope you return as soon as you feel you're ready. Maybe even return to programming...?

DJ_O, you are the best person I have known...online or offline.
I wish you good luck again for all of your problems, online or offline.
The community loves you, DJ, and you are the best person here.

DJ, it sucks to see you go but as Camelot said earlier, it's your decision, though I, and everyone else here, wish you'd reconsider.
So please don't beat yourself up over this man, everyone has their faults, I don't think anyone blames you for how you reacted to certain situations because of that.
And it's not how people think of you in one case that defines you within this community, it's what people think of you overall, and I think that just the contents of this thread alone proves that you are the most loved and popular person on any calc site.
Personally, my impression of you is still the same: You are a fair individual who has good judgement and is well suited for making an epic site like this one Uber successful, and who just tends to blow up sometimes. And like I said, everyone has their faults, no one blames you for that. You were just having a rough time coping and you lashed out. And no one thinks any less of you regardless. It's not a mental problem. It's really just being human.
So, again, it's your decision though I understand if you still decide to leave. I hope you'll still be in IRC if that's the case. :'(

IMPORTANT NEWS!
:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...
Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.
In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

DJ, almost everyone wishes you to stay. We know you have your problems, and we completely accept them and are fin with them. Problems like that have been very infrequent. None of
us
hate you for them, its just part of you. Might I point out that I had my parents make a program that would shut off my webbrowser if i used to many capital letters in a row? ( Oo Don't ask me how, I still haven't figured it out.) My point is that it isn't just you with problems. You have more power, so when something goes wrong, it gets more widely noticed.
This power I am speaking of is called respect. It is rarely called power, but power is what respect is. You get noticed because everything you say is of more importance to us. You make a mistake and other people are bound to notice it because we do. In a few days, issue will all be behind us and no one that truly knows you has lost any respect for you. I would bet *someone* who hasn't been here long enough to know about your personal problems has gained more respect for you.
I came into Omnimaga at the time where axe was putting in the token changes. I got angry at you because someone said your name and I jumped to conclusions. It was my first day and i sent many hateful things (publicly) to a person(you) I didn't know. I am truly sorry for the hurt I had given you for it. Many people sent me very angry, sad, upset, peeved, and any other email you can send. After reading all the letters (over 20 within an hour) I realized by the content and the quantity that I had done something very wrong. I tried to quickly remove what I had posted, but such things can never be gone quick enough. The damage was done.
I have been changed for the better by that day. I now know how great you are AND I have learned not to judge others without truly knowing who they are, and to ignore the initial actions. Please look and see that we don't think you hamper the calculator community, but give it life and spirit. No offense to Cemetech, but it doesn't feel like a home over there like it does here. We truly hate for you to go Dad.
@sir: I disagree with your "Spoiler for DJ's Real Impact" His calculator contributions and everything don't come close to the real emotional impact. You, at least I, can't convey how much he means emotionally to many of us. We don't judge him by his programs (even though they are amazing) we judge him for how much he is as a person.
DJ is a supporter, friend, leader, teammate, and much more. You have been there to help with my personal problems as well as calculator, and that is priceless.

I really don't understand. I'm on this forum since only one month, and I read only the programming part, so I really don't understand. What happened ?
Anyway, it's so sad. To me, you are one of the main calculator community members.
You should just take a break for a month. Then, maybe you will leave us, but I hope you will come back. But take a break. Please.

Man... I'm crying. That's not fun. Anyways,
DJ, you're a wonderful person. I hope you decide to come back; Omnimaga will never be the same without you. I hope you know that most of Omnimaga wants you back, and those who don't haven't seen you at your full potential. I hope that if you leave that you continue to be an incredible person. I hope you stay, though, and so do many, many others. Thank you for all of the help, the inspiration, and the guidance throughout my time on Omnimaga. I'll miss you so much, and I wish you the best of luck in life! Good luck, DJ!

I know I may appear at times not to care since I don't really get involved with many of these issues and haven't been around here all that much lately. However, that isn't the case. The truth is, over the last couple of years I have found myself thinking about you quite a lot, even when I'm away from the computer and doing completely unrelated things. You're free to believe and do what you want, though personally, I don't believe that it is possible for anyone to be “worthless”. It seems to me that there are still plenty of people who love and care about you, which includes me.
Through my life I've heard endless stories about people in seemingly hopeless situations like yours, but things turned around when they hung in there long enough. The way I believe things work is that if you try to at least have hope that there's even a microscopic chance of things working out, you at least leave that chance, but if you decide to banish *all* hope, you pretty much force the door closed forever.
If nothing else, just remember that regardless of what you do or think about yourself or whether you lose hope or keep it, I personally will never lose hope for you.

Like Homer and AOC said, it's your personal choice if and when you choose to leave the community.
With that being said, we all hope you come reconsider. We all love you, and we will all miss you!
We wish you well on everything in the future, and we hope to see you around.
Good luck!
