Fill your CX with Doom!
« on: January 19, 2012, 01:50:58 pm »
Was it hard for you to fill the 128MB of your TI-Nspire CX ?
Then today is the great day for you!

All nDoom 2.0 supported Doom games have been uploaded to TI-Planet! :o
We've optimized the WAD file sizes by removing sounds and musics, as they aren't supported in nDoom 2.0 yet :P

We've considered those files to be abandonware, but might remove them anytime if we're asked to - so you should download them as soon as possible.

Doom Shareware (3.2MB)

adventure of 8 maps + 1 secret map

Ultimate Doom (9.9MB)

4 adventures of 8 maps + 1 secret map each

Doom II - Hell On Earth (11.9MB)

adventure of 30 maps + 2 secret maps

Final Doom - The Plutonia Experiment (14.7MB)

adventure of 30 maps + 2 secret maps

Final Doom - TNT Evilution (15.7MB)

adventure of 30 maps + 2 secret maps

Total:55.4MB and hours of fun!!! ;D

Spoiler For IMPORTANT NEWS!:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

Very nice!

Also worth noting TI-Planet also have NES ROMs to download so you can play NES games on your Nspire.

Huh, when I try to play them on my CX, I get the error, document format not supported doom1.wad.tns.

Yet the demo programs work fine :S

You cannot run Doom levels directly.

You need a WAD player like nDoom 2.0 -> http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=3889

This is awesome, I just played it and it works pretty fine. :D

The only downside is that the wad selection menu is quite sensitive, so i always accidentally moved up/down, making it very hard to select a wad in particular and easy to accidentally click something you don't want to. On the other hand, at least the Touchpad gets detected at all for me now. :P

At the wad selection menu, you don't need to press but just to touch the touchpad.

Yeah I know, but sometimes it's a bit hard to select stuff without moving down too far D:
