DUDE YES The old Megaman stuff was okay... for hardcore fans, it was all we had but we loved it. But, this is SO much better! :D
Keep trying.

Looks really great! It doesn't look finished (missing transitions or other quirks like shmibs mentions), but it's much better and complete than the already existing MegaMan games for Z80 calcs (the cross-platform one is really basic and looks kinda rushed, although it was a classic at the time, and the 86 one has incredibly short stages and slow framerate (although it features grayscale and sound)

I don't get why the readme says "Unfortunately due to the size of the program, it's currently --LIMITED TO THE 83+SE AND ABOVE--, but we're working on trying to get around this limitation and add 83+ support." ???

On the contrary, my 84+SE has so much programs (even archived they take some RAM) that its RAM is low (around 21000 bytes), so it can't run this game. And on the contrary, my 83+ is so empty that it still has 23000 bytes of RAM and can easily run this game (didn't try but I am sure it would work).

Your 84+ SE should have more free ram than that if you have nothing in ram.

Not sure about that. I just tried making a RAM Clear and looking at the available RAM right after, it still says 20619.

For some reason all your RAM isn't being reclaimed. I had this issue before as well. I don't remember how I fixed it. You should have about 24,372 free RAM (that is what I'm looking at on my 84+ SE).

Just to be clear, when you have lots of programs, even if they're archived, the VAT entries remain in RAM. If you want to free up more RAM you'll need to delete programs, archiving them still leaves the VAT entry, depending on the size of the name maybe 7-15 bytes? I'm not sure on the exact size. Clearing your RAM will still leave the VAT entries in RAM.

Yeah that's why so many people had troubles with Gemini and the problem was particularly bad when people had Zelda installed. I think each VAT entry are 12 bytes or something.

VAT entries are twelve bytes, and also, clearing your RAM helps. Don't do math with OS variables prior to playing large games, and graphing/strings/lists/matrices are huge NO-NO's.
Keep trying.

I am curious about who released this by the way, since this seems to be an anonymous release on ticalc.org? I know that Chickendude was involved in a Megaman clone before but I wonder if it had any link with this one?

Well they wish to remain anonymous so lets not try to find out.

Also, running on a mac, using TI-Connect it was impossible to send this to my calculator. The file seemed corrupt or something.
Then I tried tilp and it worked(even though I got an error at the end).
