Congratulations.

This seems the kind of game that needs a walk through sometimes? O_o Just wondering.

It might spoil the fun, though :P

Maybe it could be posted in that future section of the forum where there will be full of walkthroughs and glitches/secret threads for some calc games :P, which will most likely have the same requirement as the arcade to be accessed? It would sure take a long while to write that walkthrough, altough I could always hand you the plan files for Illusiat 13, even thought they might be innacurate :P

Wow, plan files for Illusiat 13. That's pretty neat.

As for the walkthrough, I don't think it needs a 50 post limit to acess, but mabey just a seperate topic.  Of course, this is better decided after (and if) the walkthrough is done.
I'll help write it, as I think it would be fun. :)

well I started doing plan files in ROL1 days, otherwise game stories were not planned that well and often either made no sense, were simple or sucked x.x

As for walkthroughs I thought about 50 posts so not too many people get their game fun ruined and to encourage new members to come :P I might have multiple sections, though: some requiring just an account, others 5 posts and others more

A walkthrough would be nice, for all the people who can sometimes get stuck at certain parts of a game (I know i have before) and the post count might or might not be a good idea, i really can't say for sure actually :/

Keep in mind certain games might require more a Walkthrough than Illusiat 13, tho :P. I know for sure I got stuck often in Illusiat 12, even if I made it :P

Illusiat 11 also got a very tricky part in Chapter 2. Many people get stuck there.

True, Illusiat 13 dosn't really need a walkthrough.  I guess I woln't make one.  :-\

I'm putting Illusiat 11 on my calc within the next hour, so I'll let you know how hard it is for me soon. :P

well i might still make one anyway, due to secrets, but yeah it's kinda straight forward. Plus, because of the customizable character stats, there are many ways to beat bosses easily. One person may just raise his attack, nothing else, and beat every monster in a few hits, while some people might balance everything. Some may even not upgrade anything and mass-buy magic instead

I tend to raise the stats in balance, so the stats are all same. Although when I think about it now, I have no idea why I would do that, since I normally never attack physically... (unless it's the magic wall or something that negates all magic attacks)

In some games I tend to just increase one stat. A bad and good habit from MMORPG's.

It depends on the game. But there is a game in multiplayer where I had great fun in 2 players cooperative where the 2 characters only increased one stat.

I tried to increase them all the same, although I kept the speed about 10 higher than the rest.

In RPGs with more player characters than your party can hold, I sometimes tend to stick with the same party for the entire game unless you constantly lose characters, so 4 of my chars often end up at LV 40 or 50 while the rest is maxed out.

In FF games it's not a problem, because when you get back lost party members, their LV is increased to the same amount as your current characters average level.

In my game ROL2, which had 7 characters, they only increased slightly, though, so a few characters ended up at very low levels. It was often the case of Guil, the character who can scan enemies, because he was pretty much useless. His attack was strong but not as much as other fighters (altough he missed less often), and you alerady had enough other fighters that could do more than just scanning enemies, and you also had other characters to cast spells.

Eljin: uses curative magic, but has weak attack. Medium HP
Merix: has special ability to sacrify HP to attack all enemies at once, strong attack. High HP
Zormy: uses offensive magic, but has weak attack. Low HP
Guil: scans enemies, has medium attack power. High HP
Ji: can steal items from enemies, has high attack power. Medium HP
Manu: uses curative magic, has strong attack. Low HP
Kyra: uses both curative and offensive magic, but has low attack. Very low HP.

There is also a character with the same abilities as Merix, but you only use it during the intro. There is also a character that use an ability to revive all dead party members at max HP, but you only use it for a short while in the game. All other characters can be used until the end.

In the final dungeon, where I had to use two parties at once (split in two different areas of the tower), I usually had Merix and Manu in one party and Elgin, Zormy and Guil in the other. If I did the Ji side quest (to get him back) I put Elgin, Merix and Zormy together and Manu, Ji and Guil together. If I did the Kyra side quest that opened after finishing the Ji one, I replaced Guil with her. Final dungeon was hectic x.x
