Elfprince13's retiring spurred me to possibly make the most difficult decision of my life and also retire from the community. I have been debating this decision from the beginning of this school year. I am taking 3 college classes along with all my regular high school classes, which drastically cuts into my time that I have. I have also found that I almost feel obligated to come on the site and then I put off my school work. This year has been a year where I've really had to prioritize my life and make some pretty tough decisions about what to pursue and what to drop. I already had to drop playing on my varsity soccer team at school because of a lack of time, and I realized tonight that I no longer can afford to put my school work off to come on here and check the latest posts. As I said, this is probably one of the toughest decisions I've ever made, and I deeply wish that I wouldn't have to make this decision, but I realize that, for the sake of my future, it is in my best interest to leave.
I'm sorry for starting the Pixel Art Contests and then not even waiting around for the end of the first contest.
I'm sorry for promising to make the Forum RPG and never finishing.
I'm sorry for exciting people about The Chosen One and never getting close to completing it.
Mostly, I'm sorry for this sudden retirement from the community. I wished that I would never have to do this, but I realize that it is an essential decision to my success in school.
Thank you to everyone here at omnimga. From my first days here as News Editor to becoming an Administrator everyone here has been extremely supportive. Everyone has been extremly welcoming to everyone here, and I just want everyone to know how proud I was to be an admin here. Every time I came on and saw the posts in some of the projects, I was just glad that I could be a part of this amazing community. You truly are an amazing group of people and I don't want any of you to ever forget that. We may have had our rough times, but in the end, we all got through it and we became stronger because of them. Best of luck to all of you in your futures and best of luck to the community of Omnimaga.

Thanks for all of your contributions tenniskid. I know it is a hard decision, but it shows that you have your priorities in the right order. ;)

I hope you drop by from time to time. :)

Remember though that life without play isn't worth living. Best of luck with everything you do, and like Ranman said, maybe you'll drop by occasionally :)

All this leaving makes me sad :'(

this be a sad time at Omnimaga, two people retire in a short amount of time, I hope you do come back to hang out here on occassion.

Yeah...*sobs*, see you later tenniskid, good luck in life! On a sadder side note, i wanto announce too that i'm gonna be spending less and less time around the community. For the same reasons as everyone else, school and advanced classes. I hate to say this, but social life comes first. :(
I'll still definitely be sticking around for quite some more time though, just a heads up if i dissapear. :(

@dragonlance: ROFL social life! XD
Man... my social life consists of IRC and hanging out with Aimee (who has even less a social life than me! she doesn't use irc and mostly plays single player games!) Meh, who needs normal humans anyways. They're too boring. :P

ugh i hope this will not end like Kevtiva Interactive (the entire staff (6,7?) leaving in 2 months), we will misss you tenniskid, I understand how this can be very overhelming with both school and online time at once though, you must focus on Life first, and especially school, and put the other stuff back until you get time. I hope you come back someday or pop in every now and then to say hi.
Thank you a lot for all your help and support, you have been one of the most active member of this forum and one of the most dedicated one, especailly posting wise and management-wise.
Good luck in all your future project and I hope to see you around again some times!

I think we are seeing the worst of it right now. People are finding out how busy school will be for them this year, and they have to start thinking of what they want to cut out. The Internet and the TI Comunnity is high up on the list of things to cut out, and we are starting to see the effects. Thankfully this year I have fewer classes (well, I am in P.E. one hour, and am an Aid another hour). Also, some of my courses are less rigorous (went from certification to an AP class).
-
Well, I promised I'd stick around long enough to complete one project. And I'm not going to break that promise. I too am taking a really heavy course load, but I'm not afraid. I think I'll push through and only cut out things I don't want. Fortunately, the community, regardless of whether it's z80, 68k, or GBA/NDS (still a n00b) I'm going to hold on as long as I can. But hopefully things get easier in college. I heard 3 AP courses and the rest honors is a little more work than what the average college student does.

FINALLY! :devilol:

jk :D
I'll miss you. You were a great administrator, and a fun person to talk to. It's good that you're talking care of your real life.
