Ugh, I wonder if those vids can be flagged... some people probably do it just to cause trouble to users who really want to jailbreak their PS3. It happens a lot with warez and vids to crack softwares or get free Microsoft/Wii  points

I wish youtube would spend more time hunting down videos stolen from other uers than trying to delete videos which have copyrighted music....

Assuming you mean *than, Same here, although sadly it is not Youtube fault entirely, but rather some greedy music labels that threaten Youtube to delete them. I agree, though, that they should spend more time monitoring stolen vids... especially when they contain links to viruses.

Thanks for the kind words, everybody.

...

And Netham45 for giving me the idea.

no problem, thank you for an awesome program that saved me waiting months for a teensy! :D

It all works excellently, by the way.

Lobsters can be useful sometimes ;D *runs*

That said I hope Sony won't immediately find a fix to prevent this kind of jailbreak from working on any PS3 future firmwares

They had a patch out blocking it a few days ago, on current FWs.

Who would apply a such patch on older/current firmware? (or is this just a fix for the future versions)?

Ouch, well I hope it will be possible to either downgrade or not be forced to install the new patch on current PS3s for those who wants to leave it jailbreaked. I guess they are really doing like TI now (and apple) :P

The update is required if you want to use the psn store or online play, I think that's about it.

Darn 200000 views on the vid. If people did not keep stealing the vid or mirroring it, it would certainly be 300000, though. I wonder how many downloads would the file get on ticalc.org if it was hosted there. It would most likely surpass Virtual TI in a year

BrandonW, can you please pull a string of overnighters to make Celtic III function as an automatic light dimmer.  That's all I've ever wanted out of my calc. :P (somewhat jk)
