As the NASA reported earlier, KermMartian reached 10000 posts on http://cemetech.net/forum/index.php, shocking the whole english calculator community!
When Omnimaga staff noticed Kerm post count on the forums, they couldn't believe their eyes. Jonathan C., one of our news editor, immediately commented, "This is a new day in the TI community. Back when post counts over 10000 were reached only in the french 68k community, no one though this would ever happen on english speaking forums.". Immediately afterward yAronet 68k forum administrator feared an upcoming death of the french 68k world with everyone migrating to z80 programming on Cemetech forums. The rest of the Omnimaga team said, "This could be a revolution, the TI community isn't the same anymore."
PHPBB staff immediately went to KermMartian website and noticed the post count and commented, "Could this lead into a total database corruption when he reaches 65536 posts? We need to update PHPBB to 2.019, NOW!"
To celebrate this event, DoorCS shell will be released into two versions. First version will have all the planned features. The alternate version will be only avaliable to Cemetech forum members with 10000 posts or above. We don't have much information about this version yet but it will feature a totally redone TI-BASIC interpreter that will allow some BASIC programs to run almost as fast as ASM!

you would expect that to be 1000, but ah well... that means only the author can get the special edition :P
-
YAY! I love when I make myself special editions.
Only 89,995 posts to go till 100K...
-
Damn, now I need to start spamming my ass off over there :D
-
even Arcane Wizard from UTI doesnt have that many posts (he has a bit over 6500 now)
-
I need to get to work on 10000, just over 9200 to go
-
Oh, well you're almost there then! :)

Wait a sec.... say I made an average of 1-15 words per post. Over 10,000 posts, that means O.o 100,00-150,000 words per post. OMG. That's like one or two novels worth of words. ZOMG!!
60,00-100,000 stat:

thats a lot of words indeed :D
. Unless you did lot of two word posts (like me) ^^
-
Eh, I try to avoid single sentence posts or single emoticon posts. I might as well spend a few more seconds typing something intelligence (or at least make it sound like it. :D
)

Do you have carpal tunnel yet?

Nope, just many kilobytes of comments. :)

-
w00t For fake articles! [and for post counts ;)
]
:ph43r:
-
I have 65 posts now, w00t
-
@xlibman: Thats insane! Is that really the maximum? It seems like such a random number.
-
ROFL WOOOOOOOOTTT!!!!
-
I dunno why invisionfree (or IPB) fixed the max to that, it was pretty weird when I saw it :wacko:
-
Yeah, it's probably somethin*2^something.
-
2^23 - 1
-
Aha! It's a 3-byte signed integer then, 1 sign bit and 23 number bits.
-
Awww, but I liked being #2... :lol:
-
aaah me and my lack of binary/asm knowledge :(
-
@tifreak #3 isn't too bad
@Kevin: even with my binaryknowledge i was still confused
-
isn't a sign bit for negative/positive?
