St-Jean Baptiste celebrations have started over here (Québec Birthday/national day). However this year some unpredictable events happened so far since the show started on Abraham Plains.
A few hours ago local news reported that some computer geeks that were present on the plains earlier started running around with Metroid and Pikachu costumes. As some people were alerady starting to get drunk this caused mass chaos in the entire older part of the Québec city, people started running around screaming "ALIENS ARE INVADING US! WE ARE DOOMED!" (in french), some others who knew about the Metroid series on Nintendo consoles started throwing rocks and empty beer cans at the fake Metroids yelling "OH MY GOD GOVERNEMENT RELEASED METROID AT US WE ARE OWNED!" (in french again since it's our local language). Police arrested 3 of the guy disguised into metroid out of 4, one is still nowhere to be found in the town but some rumors said he might have got into the parlement. Police is still attempting to get things back to normal at the moment. Unfortunately I cannot show pictures because I don't have a camera to capture from my TV or VHS.
