I would expect that the new NAND chip has a slightly different interface, and makes it impossible for the old boot2 to interface with it. I think that nlaunch might not be possible because the older OSs are probably not compatible with the new Nand chip.
Also, is it possible that there is a jtag interface on the dock connector?

Spoiler For some of the calcs I own:

(actually I have quite a few more than this, but I don't feel like making bars for them all.)

The boot1 version is the same and it doesn't make sense to me to include drivers in boot1 which aren't included in boot2 and vice versa.
But then it's TI.

We already took apart HW-J.

Not sure if we can find something more this way.

It would still be interesting to take apart HW-G, HW-H, HW-I and HW-K.

Sorry to start up this discussion again, but now it looks like there's even an L version with OS 3.6 pre-installed on it. :banghead:

No, keep it going! Ugh. I just got one off of Amazon a week ago and it was J with 3.2, so don't know where the L's are coming from. T_T

You can never tell which model you're getting in terms of J and L models. They must still be selling out of J models and then getting the L model's in. The person who has the L model that I referred to must've gotten it new in America (most likely) and not from Europe.
