Back in 2012, Chockosta released a 3D Minecraft clone for the TI-Nspire CX, available for download
here.
However, the author ran into speed issues then eventually stopped working on the project. While the game was pretty impressive and already allowed players to create buildings or dig around, some people wondered if it might be possible to make a similar game that runs much faster on this calculator series.
Then nGL arrived.
For a while, Vogtinator has been working on what looks like a 2nd attempt at a 3D Minecraft clone for the TI-Nspire CX, called Crafti. It is unclear if he intends to create an actual Minecraft game, but so far, the results are astonishing in terms of speed. While nCraft ran at 10 FPS with no textures, a very short field of view and despite Nover being maxed out, Crafti runs at 40 FPS with no textures and around 25 with them! This is mainly due to nCraft using floats, which are much slower than fixed points and integers, although more accurate. While there are some glitches resulting from those, the result is still pretty impressive, especially speed-wise, despite the much farther field of view than in nCraft:
