According to one article I read about the CX, the old Nspires will still be produced short-term and TI will "let the market decide" if they will be produced long-term.

Hmm I see. Hopefully they keep them around for a bit. They'll have to decrease the price a lot, though.

Also I found this on Univers TI-Nspire (found the topic through TI-BANK)

Here would be the yellow school model:

It's not as obvious as the 84+ school model, but I guess people can still tell :)

X.x... At least it isn't as bad as the Touchpad Nspire non-CAS EzSpot edition, though.

This new calc looks cool!  I wonder what it's like with the slidecase on.  Because of the stand in the back, does this mean that sometimes the slidecase won't go on the back of the calc?

I think the stand is optional to purchase separately (so is the slide case).

How much are these things supposed to cost+slide case.
I hope they release the SDK soon after(at no cost)
I currently don't do much, but I am a developer for a game you should totally try out called AssaultCube Reloaded download here https://assaultcuber.codeplex.com/

We don't even know if there's programming... As shrear said, it could very well just be the Nspire BASIC "language."

that would suck. I hope we get to real programs without having to hack it.

I guess the slidecase will be about $10, the calc about $145, the battery $49, the keypad $10, the LCD $10 and the keys in it $10. :P

Just kidding, but damnit I'm really shocked they even sell slidecases separately now... to me it looks like they want the price to look artificially lower, but finally you need to buy extra accessories...

What about this?
From the specifications:
Quote
Features a dedicated programming environment as well as programming libraries for global access to user-defined functions & programs
Very interesting.

Hmm I didn't see that. But does environment and programming libraries necessarily means BASIC commands such as Line(), pxl-on, Text(), Getkey and the like?

Also will they improve the ease-of-use of this calc in general? I never understood why it was so hard to figure out how to perform 2+2 on this calc.
