Well, your character is a single point, followed by a trail so you can see. In one night, I've got wall jump and friction working. I just need a name.

I hope everyone won't call their games "The Game", though.

Also awesome avatar Frey.

Good luck to everyone entering :D
Sooooooo will there be any Casio-Basic contests? Or Mlc contests?
A Casio contest is likely, but most likely Prizm-compatible stuff, meaning no MLC and no usage of non-ASCII tokens in the CHAR menu. Also BASIC will most likely compete against ASM/C, due to financial reasons (can only afford to offer one prize).
I'd like to know who the judges, besides DJ, are. Thanks
I don't know if there will be any others, but if there is, they'll be chosen after the deadline arrived, to ensure they still have the time to judge anymore. Someone who participated to the contest will not be allowed to judge.

* ralphdspam lost.
Anyway, I have to get my game on.  (No pun intended.)  I'm not even done with the physics yet.  D:

Do small monetary bribes count?  J/K :P

Lol :P

Also the judges might be different from a platform to another, or there might be fewer ones for a platform.

And thanks, DJ!

Lol ok.

Also yeah remember everyone to follow rules lol. Game must be an actual game, preferably where you can win/lose, and if you re-use code you wrote before, make sure the game is different enough so it's not just plain renaming an existing project with barely any changes. Also like last year, getting someone to do the levels for you or code stuff for you might hurt your originality score, maybe even more than if you do a clone of Mario with new sprites, for example.

I'll just be using xy's physics engine w/friction added, that's it. I gotta figure out how I wanna handle corners, though.
Maybe you'll bounce off them... :)
or maybe Adam's Song will play...
Or maybe you'll just die; corners are sharp, after all....

Unfortunately, I think I am going to have to drop out, due to a lack of time, and the complexity of what I am doing (multiple characters all on the screen at once who can't run into each other, but need to be able to move boulders, and such).
