Hm, here're my little reviews. Note I'm pretty nitpicky, lol.

Spacky Emprise-
Crabcake couldn't seem to work with this one... :(

AXLE-
Great graphics, traditional concept. The physics were a little off though, and movement seemed jerky. Excellent level design and animations, however.

FPA-
I know myself how difficult this would be. I even contemplated trying to make this for the contest. So I'll say you did a pretty good job, considering.

Nymless-
Surprisingly fun to play around in, but a little too simple for my taste. Excellent physics- I enjoyed that.

Stick Ninja-
no comment

Escape-
Looks like the beginning of a great puzzle game. Liek tloz, I agree it could use some more polish. Smooth movements would be awesome :D

Tag-
Great concept and implementation. The controls were slippery though. Nice title/level select screen, did I see that in Graviter before (as well as the platform engine lol j/k)

Dimension Shift-
Took a little while to set this up. The screen flip is beautiful. The menu/level flow could use some work. The platform engine reminded me of Tio ;)

Easy Game-
LPLOLOLOLOLOLOOLlo there's a bug in the last level though, I waited two years and still won.

Cube Droid-
Fun if I knew how to play. I think I should check out the flash game. First impressions: great graphics, menu, and animations.

I am also highly amused by how many of us used Builderboy's flame animation to do transitions.

In DS there are only 4 levels, so from 0 to 3 work. the rest are just empty.

well, the first level showed the character, which could move, but there was no back ground, none of the button other than arrow keys responded.  Might be my fault though.  :P

Here's my review of all of the games submitted for this year's contest.  All of the games that were made for shells that didn't need to be were a bit disappointing, because sometimes I don't want to go into a shell just to play a game that doesn't take advantage of it's features.  However, I didn't take that into account in my reviews.

Spacky Emprise
This game is a bit strange.  It is somewhat fun to play, but has only okay graphics.  The story should be integrated more - I'm not sure why there is a story in the first place, it's abandoned as soon as the game begins.  The sprites could be a little better, and the ghost could be made more smooth when moving.  However, it is fun to play, and I enjoyed it.  It gets more challenging as you go, and works well.  4/10

AXLE
Graphically, it's great.  The speed is great for a smooth scrolling tilemapper, and the game is very stable.  It works extremely well.  On the other hand, the actual gameplay seems to me as a bit shallow.  There isn't much in the way of levels, and I can't seem to discover how to beat level 1 (not for lack of skill, but for lack of knowledge in discovering when the end has been reached).  5/10

Fancy Pants
A good, solid attempt.  The physics work fairly well, with a few exceptions.  As said in the readme, it isn't done.  The graphics are pretty basic, just lines that disappear when part of them lie off-screen (I know it's an Axe thing, but a custom line drawing routine would have been a good investment).  There isn't really a game here, mostly just a buggy physics demo.  It looks like a good start, though!  2/10

Nymless Demo
This one surpassed my expectations.  It was really quite interesting.  I enjoyed the graphical style, where you could move the player and see the trail behind them.  However, the maps were plain, very static b/w.  Regardless of graphical plain-ness, though, it was very fun.  I enjoyed it quite a bit.  7/10

Stick Ninja
This game was decent.  I thought that it was a little fun, but for some reason it didn't really reach out to me.  I think it's my problem, though, the game looks very good, but for some reason I didn't like it.  I won't give it a score because it just feels like it's something I shouldn't score.  (weird)

Escape
This game is well written and stable, but not very creative.  It reminds me of block dude - simple to make, and a slight diversion during classes.  But due to it's completeness, I give it much more credit.  6/10

Tag
I was really impressed by Tag.  It was innovative, fun, and creative.  It was also complex, yet very complete.  I didn't feel like content was missing, or that it left something to be expected.  It was extremely good.  I do have some qualms, though.  The game is not outrageously difficult to understand, but to execute your solutions require lots of work.  I would get so close to beating a level, and die, and that's why I stopped playing at level 8.  More pixel-perfect control over the player would be nice.  For example, try to walk up to a ledge and stop before you fall off.  It's very difficult.  All that aside, this was very good, and had a good learning curve.  9/10

Dimension Shift
It was nice, but a little difficult.  There was no grace period, you're dropped straight into the difficult levels.  As far as graphics were concerned, it was also pretty basic.  It was still innovative and different, though, so I give it a 6/10

Cube Droid
This game is my favorite, and earns my vote.  I enjoyed it immensely.  It is graphically very pretty, and nice and stable.  Even though the last level is impossible, I had loads of fun playing the rest, and they all cause the appropriate amount of thinking and problem solving.  The learning curve is a little steep, though - it would have been better if there were a few easy levels to get you started, and a better readme would have gone a long way.  I still loved this game, and that why it gets a 9/10 from me, and my vote.

I thought that it was pretty clear when the end had been reached. The room has only one door and it's in the dead center.
...also, what would you recommend in terms of level design? ??? I've got four different levels with different tilesets for each and over 9000 (literally) bytes of level data.

Thank you, Sir. :)  If you would like to play the last level, it's here.  The 4th level is also there, because it was messed up in the demo as well, except it was solvable in its "oops" state. ;)

This game is interesting, but a little poorly implemented. The ghost was a bit awkward in its movements, but overall the game looked fairly nice sprite-wise. (2/10)

AXLE
Some of the best graphics I've seen yet, but oddly the framerate was a little bit slower than I would have liked, but that probably couldn't have been helped. The platforming was amazingly well executed, and levels were fairly intuitive and involved free-running and multiple paths, which I highly enjoyed. (8/10)

Fancy Pants
The physics in this game are amazing, but it's only a demo. Sadly, with a bit more work this could have been an amazing game. (3/10)

Nymless Demo
I highly enjoyed the fact that the player moved out, but the levels were a bit static for my tastes. The programming concepts are highly intriguing, but gameplay not so much. With a bit more work, this can become an amazing game. (5/10)

Stick Ninja
The graphics were excellent, and gameplay was interesting. I especially enjoyed some of the later platforming, along with the special attention to detail with the particle effects upon killing enemies. (7/10)

Escape
Well written, but leaves something to be desired. The game feels complete, yet it misses creativity. It reminds me a lot of box pushing puzzle minigames and the levels were clearly thought out, but it's not my type of game. (6/10)

Tag
Okay, hands down this was one of the worst games ever. It was clear that the author spent little to no time working on this game. The attention to color is horrible, as the game is entirely black and white, with a little bit of flickery greyscale here and there. The game is replete with bugs, and overall it was just a fairly bad experience. I usually try to hold back my criticism, but I'm not even going to rate this game.

Dimension Shift
This game could have been a lot better with more work. The greyscale was really decent, some of the best I've seen, but level design could have been better. There is slight lag upon picking up and throwing boxes, which detracts from the game as you're not sure where the box will land. Graphics are not that good, but it's 4x4 so I'll let it slide. I probably couldn't have thought up better 4x4 sprites, lol. (7/10)

Cube Droid
This one was similar to Escape, but I enjoyed it much more, for some reason. The graphics were great, and the gameplay was very enjoyable. The steep learning curve was what made it fun for me, but a tutorial/walkthrough would have been very nice. (8/10)

I'm going to play these games a bit more in depth before I make my decision.

Well, I played them all, and I have to say my favorite is Tag. Very similar to portal, just slightly different.

This game is quite challenging, some of the levels took me 15 minutes to figure out, and this is a calculator game. In fact, I'm only at level 17 right now and I'm going to save it for later. But I think one of the keys is that it is actually a puzzle, because if I played through it again, it wouldn't take me nearly as long. This shows that it's the puzzle causing me problems and not the game.

And, this is just a personal preference, but one of the things I really like about it is that it is in one program. :D  (Don't hate me)

You can build a statue out of either 1'x1' blocks or 12'x12' blocks. The 1'x1' blocks will take a lot longer, but the final product is worth it.
