Yeah, it was a great game. The difficulty level was great how it was, not so bad, addicting/fun to play, except for that one thing that made you start over.

You forgot Nymless!

Sorry about that :P I'll get around to reviewing it, and the other entries as soon as I can.

Sigh...why is my entry so buggy? I really don't know why, as my calc seemed to handle it perfectly fine, as did Wabbit =/

Don't kill yourself. It really was a pretty sweet game. Just out of curiousity, were there any more levels beyond the four doors? I couldn't seem to beat the fourth one (darn mirage/hologram blocks :) ).

It might be that ppl are not following instructions. cause i forgot to put the appvar in archive and it was in ram (or vice versa, i just know it was in the wrong spot) and my ti-nspire 84 mode froze.

Its a really great game, just some support for ppl who don't read the readme before they play it would be great.

like something to detect if its in the wrong spot and tell the user, or move it to the right spot.

Okay, I got around to Nymless and Escape, but TI-Connect was acting up again (I'm not even surprised anymore) so I couldn't check out Dimesion Shift, but I will as soon as I can.

Nymless 13/20:
Spoiler For Spoiler:
This was a pretty fun demo. It took me a while to figure out exactly how to wall jump, but I think I've got it now. A few tips/pointers in the readme would be nice to get started. I'm not sure if this is how it was supposed to be, but the version I downloaded had no levels. Levels would have made this game really cool, and adding hazards like spikes and stuff. I'm looking forward to this game being completed, and I hope that you're going to continue this, Freyaday?

Escape: 13/20:
Spoiler For Spoiler:
This game was pretty fun to play. However, I beat the whole thing in like two minutes. No offense, but the levels were really easy.  :-\. So yeah. More and harder levels, and possibly smooth scrolling would really make this puzzle game stand out, a lot. As in Freyaday's case, this has potential, so I again hope that you will continue development on this game.

Oh dear, I forgot to mention that the two appvars that are included comprise the level that comes with Nymless.

Here are my reviews in no particular order.

Tag: Loved it. Clear,  if kinda blah graphics, with lots of extra chrome to make up for it (The Paint animations, the blood spatter, the swirlyness of the door) and kick ass menus. The levels kinda pigeonhole you into one solution that takes more precision than the controls provide (why do you go halfway across the room with one press of a button, why?) and the ability to remap the buttons would be much appreciated, because the current setup could be much improved. The game gets too hard too fast, and I'm stuck at level 8, before I even get speed paint. Despite this, the game is excellent, and it's because of its excellence that the flaws stand out so much.

Fancy Pants: Eeek! Interesting concept, but poorly executed. The lines disappear when off the screen, and the jump lags horribly. Needs more explanation and feels like a half-hearted attempt. The character sprites are well done, though

Cube Droid: Extremely pretty, wonderful sprites, and I have no idea what I'm doing.

Axle: Another beauty, but some more explanation could be useful. Didn't work until I recompiled it for Ion. The jumping feels very unpredictable, though, because I have no idea what I can make and what I cannot. It also feels like the jumping height should be lowered, and double jump should be added, but maybe that's just me. It's very old school, and that includes attempting to be Nintendo Hard.

Stick Ninja: Lol, every time I pressed new, it glitched and dropped me on the wrong side of the wall on the first level and gave me 32 lives. Worked when I pressed Load, but the transition left the bottom row of pixels in "load" on the screen. It seems to me that, as a ninja, you should be able to walljump. Nice menu though.
EDIT: Somehow, the load and new options got their positions switched, either that, or I have horrendous memory and got them backwards, so it was actually load that glitched. I think it's the latter.

Escape: Old school. For what it is, it's very good, but what it is has been done to death. It feels like it would be better with even more game elements.

Nymless: What kind of fool do you take me for? This game is a blatant ripoff of N and it doesn't even get the feel right. Pathetic.

Easy Game: Exactly What It Says On The Tin

Spacky Enterprise: Couldn't get it to work.

Do not click that link. It goes to TVTropes, and before you know it it'll be 3 AM and you'll have twelveteen open tabs. I speak from experience.

I wish I could try out all the contest entries...I was so hyped for 'em. Sadly, I don't have my calc, but kudos to all the participants! Omnimaga's cumulative level of amazing has gone up because of you.
See you, space cowboy...

congratulations to people for getting these in on time!
although i've been offline for the past week (and will be for the next few days as well), i've been spending time thoroughly going over each of these games, making sure i've completed everything there is to do in all of them, in order to properly form an opinion. i'm not giving any official scores yet, but here are some overall reviews:
Spacky Emprise (buttsfredkin)
the graphics/story are a little odd and seem a bit haphazard, and the gameplay seems a little sparse (there is one enemy and two tile types). if this is your first released game, though, i'm impressed! a question: why do the tiles disappear on the left side of the screen? did you redraw the screen every frame and just not make the tilemap wide enough?

AXLE (tloz128)
the graphics are fantastic. the level design is a bit confusing and non linear. the character jumps too high and the horizontal momentum is more of a nuisance than a game element. the enemies work very well, and i didn't see so much as a single bug.

Fancy Pants Adventures World 1 Demo (Deep Thought)
it's cool, it's buggy, it's a bit hard to control, but it's fun. it isn't really much of a game in it's current state, but i'd absolutely LOVE to see this progress further =D

Nymless Demo (Freyaday)
i was only able to get one level to load. were there more than that? anyways, the character control is fine (although a bit difficult to get used to), the circles are AWESOME, the 'turn everything else grey' button is a useful feature, and the game play was a bit sparse. maybe that's because i could only get one level, though? am i missing something, frey?

Stick Ninja (squidgetx)
beautiful and hella buggy. the insta death fall hazzards which are ever present make health a bit pointless. the candles are a wonderful idea, but weren't utilised much. i really enjoyed the moving platform level.
bug list: loading/saving is broken. sometimes, the "load" or "new" options will make you spawn to the left of the furthest left wall on the map, letting you fall to your death. you are given 32 lives, so that takes a while. when facing left, the sword swing animations are mixed up with the door sprite. after meeting a game over, "new" will often times take you back to that level rather than restarting (in fact, this is the only way i was able to beat the game :P). level... four i think it was (the one with the big tower of destructable blocks next to a bouncy tile) spazzes out sometimes when destroying the blocks on the top of the tower, seemingly propelling you into a random spot in RAM. restarting the app after this causes problems (up/down and clear are unresponsive. only 2nd does anything).
i really liked it, but it has too many playability issues in its current state to get my vote.

Escape (yunhua98)
well made, no bugs, a bit bland. it took maybe five minutes to beat, but the game didn't blow up while playing.

Tag (leafiness0)
the puzzles were fantastic, the different types of tiles added a lot of diversity, player control is a bit weird, but one can get used to it. it basically reused graphics from previous games (right down to the level select screen and the similarity in the title screen styling), which takes away from originality, but i loved it. i noticed two bugs: sometimes objects (like paint and blocks) will freeze in place randomly and on two occasions i was RAM cleared on exiting.

Dimension Shift (Darl181)
fairly entertaining. the puzzles weren't all that difficult, but they were entertaining. there was a LOT of archiving and unarchiving which i think could probably be avoided by reading the level data from archive and keeping the level number appvar in RAM. this resulted in frequent garbage collects, which hurt playability.

Easy Game (SirCmpwn)
...

Cube Droid (ztrumpet)
beautiful graphics, well designed elements, fun puzzles. it was a bit difficult to figure out at first without instructions, and it's basically a port, but i loved it all the same. no bugs to speak of.

i hope i didn't go through this too quickly. i have very little time before i have to leave.

1: yeah, it is
2: I didn't make the rendering area large enough, but that's fixed for Spacky 2 :)

Nah, only one level was included, which is why it's a demo.
