I'm not going to vote, as I don't have a tin-spire, but good luck to all participants! This is a seriously amazing haul :P

You can still play the games on an emulator, and some of them, like DT's work in the document player.

I think all of them work in the Document Player.

Suggestion:

Edit the news article to warn everyone to not forget to TNOC their OS 3.0.1 before upgrading to try the Lua games, so they can downgrade back to 2.1 afterward. Just in case some people kinda forgot.
I guess that everybody here should also send their entry to the Inspired-Lua contest since it will only take them a minute and another chance to win a Nspire CX :P

I didn't check if we got any other entry though :P
Does the Lua contest allow people to post public downloads of their entry before the deadline? Because the publishing of entries on the previous page just disqualified them if that's the case. Otherwise, if it's fine, then I guess it would be a good idea. I think there is no english/french language restriction.

Nah, there's no rule to disallow it, so I guess it's fine.  I know Leafy and Sir did it for the Axe contest, and they got along alright there. :)

Also, these are some amazing games.  Great job to all the participants. ;D

It's allowed I think, so you can enter both contests.

DISCLAIMER:  I do not own an Nspire so I have no idea if this will brick your calc.  That being said, it works decently in Goplat's emu.

Spoiler For "Excerpt from readme":
Introduction
------------------
Colloidal is a simple game where you dodge flying blocks.  There
are four colors of blocks: black, dark gray, medium, and light gray.
You control a box.  You can change the color of the box.  If you
hit a block with a different color from you, the game is over.

However, if you hit a block with the same color as you, the game
continues, although your score will be penalized.  Think of the
color changing scheme as a lifeline.

You will notice that the blocks do not always bounce around
predictably.  That is intended.  Blocks of the same color pass
through each other, much like how they can pass through your
box.  Blocks with different colors tend to bounce around,
although sometimes they will aggregate.  This can be good and bad
for you.  On one hand, the aggregates lock up blocks so you have
fewer to worry about.  On the other hand, the aggregates create
"danger zones" where no amount of color changing will save you.

Blocks will be added randomly to the screen, so be on the look
out for sudden appearances!  Good reflexes help!

Regardless, this is just a simple game for Lulz.

Controls
------------
Arrow Keys - Move (Your character is a box with a white center)
Tab and Ctrl - Cycle through the 4 different colors
0 - Change color to light gray
1 - Change color to medium gray
4 - Change color to dark gray
7 - Change color to black
Esc - Exit at any time

FAQ
---
Q:  Why do blocks sometimes pass through each other?
A:  It's supposed to do that.  Originally, I wanted to iron that out
but then I decided after playing a bit that it actually makes the game
harder by adding some unpredictability.  If you don't like hard games,
then I suggest you stay away from Ninja Gaiden games and the hardest
difficulty on The Witcher 2.

Q:  Why is there no fancy title screen?  Why is there just one high score?
A:  Give me a break.  A week before the contest deadline I decided I'd give C
another shot and a day or two before the deadline I decided to actually
commit myself to writing this.  Suddenly deciding to pick up C again after
not doing much low-level (Assembly) programming for years is like suddenly
waking up one morning and running a marathon without any training.  You can
run, but it sure hurts, and you might not even make it.  But likewise, you
never forget how to run or ride a bike once you know how.  You never really
forget your first programming language (not C in my case).  You might forget
the ones after.

I tried all of the game. They were all fun to play, although the graphics in the "Nyan Cat Game" were hard to see on the grayscale screen of my Clickpad TI-Nspire.

I'd say my favorite out of all of them is the Free Cell game (I like Solitaire, and the lack of motion suits it well for the TI-Nspire screen), so it got my vote.

The ClickPad/TouchPad grayscale screen is just crap...
You're going to have the same problem with all games featuring moving sprites on a non-blank background (check the NES emulator for example).

Upgrade to a CX and try again, or use a Nspire emulator! ;)
