@Steveno8ter:
Contestants are challenged to make a game utilizing any form of AI.

Don't over think this guys.

Here is some food for thought.
-What creative ways can your game utilize A.I to create an interesting gaming experience?
-How will A.I influence the gameplay?
-A.I. Doesn't' necessarily have to be intelligent, it just needs to have the appearance of it. Creative coding can definitely help here.
-A.I can be as simple as a computer attempting to beat you at tick tack toe, though that probably won't win you the contest. :P
-Try to find a good balance. Stupid or predicatble A.I makes games boring. A.I that is too hard makes games no fun.

Other things to keep in mind:
You don't have to focus on a single A.I. You can have multiple enemies with different types of behavior and A.I. Variety is the spice of life as they say... . Some genres may not be very suited to showing off A.I. A puzzle game with the player trying to solve riddles and puzzles most likely isn't going to have much in the way of A.I.

But the AI doesn't has to be a sprite... Right? It can also be an AI who lets happen things that you don't know about, like suddenly a wall stands in front of you cause the AI doesn't want you to get to the finish...?

Or is that something that isn't considered as an AI?

EDIT: so library's like xlib are allowed to work with? It doesn't affect much on the coding but just speeds it a bit up if you use graphics

I may or may not compete, depending on how motivated I feel ^^

Ditto here. If I do enter, it'll for sure be with Axe. Definite motivation will come from people announcing project ideas/screenshots. The hardest part for me will probably be coming up with something.
Completed Projects:
   >> Spacky Emprise   >> Spacky 2 - Beta   >> Fantastic Sam
   >> An Exercise In Futility   >> GeoCore

My Current Projects:

Projects in Development:
In Medias Res - Contest Entry

Talk to me if you need help with Axe coding.

Spoiler For Bragging Rights:
Not much yet, hopefully this section will grow soon with time (and more contests)

Same problem here tho i have some ideas, some i myself can't realise, so maybe one of you can take an idea of me as base

1) user makes a building with tiles, after that done 2 or 3 planes will chrash on it at strategic locations and with some gravity-script they'll try to get the building down. (know, sucky idea)
2) forgot it

I am back from a year (?) long vacation from this website. I still peer around here sometimes but it has been very long since I logged in. Anyway, I am totally going to join in this...and I already have an idea...

Though I must admit, its been a LONG time since I programmed for the TI. Also, I lost my TI84+ so I am afraid I will have to do BASIC programming unless I can get myself one of those silverlink cables..(I have a spare TI83+).
