Omnimaga technology sub-forums expansion

A few months ago, Omnimaga forums branched out to general technology and computer programming, which eventually gave birth to an entire section dedicated to non-calculator development and technology discussions. After some good success, this section now expands further!
The computer programming area is now split by programming languages (with the possibility of extra new boards in the future, if there's enough demand), the technology/hardware section that was added at the time was divided into computer help, so you can ask help on computer setup or fixing, and the other technology-related topics, such as new gadgets, robots and such things, now goes in the remaining section. Besides that, the gaming sub-forum was moved inside this section, which pretty much now provides an entire new forum embedded inside Omnimaga forums.
This should give our users more freedom for discussion, as many calculator programmers also program for the computer, design websites or likes electronics at one point.

I noticed the changes, and it's great. Especially now that there are more members using comp languages, these languages deserve their own subforum now

Yay we finally have this. I have been wanting it for a whole now.
This will probably encourage more on-comp projects on omni

Another thing is that it might also encourage people to ask questions or help. I know we got a bunch of java programmers here, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were more C/C++ or Python coders than we think. Also due to the site rules it would be the same as the other help sections, where we don't yell at people for not understanding fast enough or insulting them/trying to make them feel embarrassed for asking simple questions, like I saw on various other forums before, so it can be an alternative here.

Plus it's easier for people who can help in a particular area to focus on that section.

True. Hopefully in the future someone could write a script that lets people choose which groups of sub-forums appear in the New Posts section, so people who visits the site only for calc stuff can hide new posts from computer/off-topic sections or vice-versa.

Well to be honest, in the last 6 months we got plenty of Omni users who were a lot into computer programming and plenty of older users got into it too. There are still a lot of calc stuff going on, but the site userbase branched out a lot towards computer and web development too, which is good in some ways, as this will encourage people to stay around even if they quit calc programming one day. (something necessary now that the TI community is in direct competition with DS/PSP homebrew and now the iPod/iPad) Just as long as there is still a lot of calc stuff going on it's fine
, plus I always wanted to branch out eventually anyway (which had no success in my previous two attempts, in 2006 and 2009)
