Oh my... That was a bit much on SirCmpwn's part :crazy:
The permban is definitely deserved, I think.

On the off chance that at some point in the distant future SirCmpwn changes his behavior, can permbans be appealed?
As for the channel, I think it's fine if it remains on EFNet for the most part. We haven't had any real impersonation issues or anything, so it doesn't seem necessary.

Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

Due to the move, you can now access Omnom via IRC clients, such as mIRC. Just set the server as irc.omnimaga.org, and then use the #omnimaga channel. O.O

On a better note we proved it was possible to run a medium channel without a proper botnet on EFnet. We managed to survive 2 years without one :P

I really have no idea what an OmniNET, or an EFnet is, or what the difference is, so I don't really care about that.
And, yeah, I completely agree that the permban was very well deserved, but like some other people here, I hope that, in the future, if Sir actually reforms, that his permban could be appealed.

I don't know. Noticing the activity decrease this summer over last year I have the feeling next year will be less active, but I have doubts we will go through a very inactive lull like in 2007-09, considering how many people are currently around. On top of that now we got a big computer programmer userbase too so if calc stuff was to die, we already branched out, kinda. (Not that it's gonna die anyway)

Netham45 I think it is fine considering the magnitude of the actions. I can understand the frustration after we spend so much effort to keep this community free of troublemakers. Netham45 don't try to prevent us from defending ourselves.
