According to JosJuice, inverted matrix bug was fixed, though.

I just sent it to WabbitEmu. The first thing I noticed is that they expanded the OS onto page $73 (I knew they were out of space). Which means that the $70-$73 sector is now out of bounds to be screwed with. Which in turn, I believe, means that Ti-Boy would corrupt your OS.
that sucks x.x

Also, now that we know downgrading is possible, can anyone try to install a 3rd-party OS on their calc, if any is available and stable enough? I wonder if we can still install third-party OSes after installing 2.55MP?

I wonder if they understand asm over at TI, or they ported Java to it? I'm quite surprised that they are going through so many pages.

Wasn't expecting this today...

When I first read "OS 2.55MP" released, I thought it would be a joke :P

They must have some hidden motive for releaseing an OS with almost no updates (
* apcalc remembers OS 2.1 :(
)...

Can anyone else duplicate the Omnicalc RAM clear thing? I can't seem to replicate it in 2.55  ;D

On a side note, the PDF I linked to on the first post mentions that the OS on the Nspire is OS 2.56MP. Would this mean a release of OS 2.2 is imminent?

I would say most definately.  We have been expecting an OS update for the Nspire in feb/march since the release of OS 2.1 (to coincide with T^3).  Likewise, there is some discussion of OS 2.2 on TI-Bank.

Strangely, 3 of the new written sectors are just full of 0xFF bytes.

Good news is that there is no downgrade protection.  I went from a 2.43 OS to a 2.55 and back. It worked fine.

I actually can't afford to waste too much time but I'll try and check this out :D
See what I can come up with, and maybe it's time to update my PTT patch again, sometime. But not now.

Well, the old bugs still remain. I guess only the real "bug" is the fact that mathprint can only be so big. The Omnicalc bugs are technically omnicalc's fault.

After installing 2.55MP, the screen was blank (but turned on) for a minute or something before the RAM clear screen appeared. I tried to install WFRNG OS afterwards, but TI-Connect didn't want to send it (it didn't want to send 2.55 at first, either...) I'm going to try sending it again tomorrow (GMT).
