Project Section Updates
« on: May 13, 2005, 03:37:00 am »
Since yesterday, people are now allowed to post comments in the project section. This will allow authors to post updates as well if they pass by and other people to give feedback, suggestions and comments about those projects.

The discussion rules and policies for the project sections are located here:
http://s7.invisionfree.com/Omnimaga/index.php?showtopic=53
Make sure you read them carefully.

However keep in mind that you cannot create new projects topic by yourself. As told in the rules and policies, if you want a topic for your project send me an email at omnimaga-at-gmail.com or send me a PM here. If you want a news article about your projects feel free to send me some screenshots too.

Talking about projects, PSDM have been added in the section and Final Fantasy: Chaos Revenge too.

Okay, so this is a necropost, but imagine some new member doing it to this topic instead of me because it was easy to find in http://www.omnimaga.org/recent and they were obsessed with nercoposting. I, personally, see this as a flaw in showing all of the topics in the recent posts section.
Long story short: will an admin kindly limit the number of posts seen in the recent posts section unless said member is a mod?

Thank you.

EDIT: Other than that, I love the new (read: updated) recent posts feature, but this should come first, imo.

I've already mentioned it to cooliojazz. It's his mod, he'll have to add that feature. For more requests for features, please use ourl.ca/request instead of posting it in random threads and hoping that we see it (Luckily enough for you I did notice this one).

I think 500-1000 would be a good number. 200 is fine as well, but then you get situations like Hellninjas who come back after three years of hiatus then might want to catch up on new posts since the last months or so. Showing every topic in the board database is kinda overkill lol.

But yeah that's kinda off-topic lol.

You could just make all posts read by default.

Yeah that would work, although preferably only ones from 2013 or so, because there are many posts from 2014 I might want to catch up on in the near future that I could miss.

Not for everyone, but just for new users, so only posts made after they joined would start showing up.

That's how most forums work actually. Posts that exist before joining are not marked as unread.
