As you might or might not know, KnightOS is an active effort by SirCmpwn to make a third-party multitasking operating system for the TI-73/83+/83+SE/84+/84+SE. He recently contacted me to share about recent features added in the kernel, including multitasking up to 10 processes at once, a UNIX-style terminal with several built-in commands, localisation with support of several languages such as French, UNIX-like filesystem tree, demos and many other features. The screenshot at the beginning of this article features some of the demos, such as a counting demo that continues to count even in the background, command-line demos, the castle (the main screen) and the task manager. Several other features are
planned, such as more command-line utilities such as grep and find, file explorer, wav player, math/graphing/etc apps, calendar, etc.
SirCmpwn has put up the code on GitHub, along with documentation. Feedback on both UI and system design is welcome, he can be contacted either on EFNet (send a PM to SirCmpwn),
by email or
open an issue on GitHub.

It's still a must if you're bored of the official TI-OS software though.
