FWIW, TILP works on MacOS X - it's even in MacPorts, though it's not the version from SVN ;)

Haven't tried this yet, but another side note: that's quite a version change (from 1.6 to 4.0) o.o

Wonder what 2.x and 3.x mean, if anything. Did TI have two unreleased versions of TI Connect?

TI does not necessarily have 2.x and 3.x versions, resynchronizing versions can occur by leaving holes.

I can confirm that this works, and works well, on the most current version of Mac OS X (10.8.4).

It’s like a breath of fresh air; so long have I not been able to easily transfer files to and from my calculator, resorting to cumbersomely transferring files via msd8x, I’d begun to feel like I had no choice but to leave the calculator community. Now that I finally have a reliable way of connecting to my calc… Well, I’m very happy. ^_^

Heya and welcome here. :) I'm glad that this new version of TI-Connect fixed your problems. :)

(This reminds me of Early 2004, when I contemplated giving up on calc programming if I didn't find a computer that detected my serial cable. I finally got my own computer, though, and it worked despite some random crashes)
