You had a big inactivity period there, though, didn't you?

Nope, I was active for every month from when I joined till when I got my first 50 respect ^^

Ah, okay. That was you that took like a 4 month vacation, though, right?

I think it was because back then the post rating system was new.  Older members didn't use it as much because they weren't accustom to it, and it hadn't caught on with newer members yet either.  I remember making it on the list of Top 10 Most Respected with only about +6 respect, which seems like nothing now, considering only people with 300 or more respect are up there today.

It's been weird for me, my rep was this slow increase or something over the course of about 6 months then with Tio it shot up like 50 in one month then stabilized again XD

I meant how "gSHUMP" was supposedly my first rating ever, even before the old post & critique thread :P

Ah, yea, the ratings are in no real order. They're -mostly- chronological, but since there's no timestamp to sort off of they're just in the order that the DB returns them in.

In case of newbies I would assume that it'd be easier to find the posts that got rated since there are fewer posts that could be rated.
I'm kinda new, one month here.
I have like 700 posts though D:
How did you post this much in one month?? O.O
Since it's mildly on topic: Spamming respect, either positively or negatively, is against the rules. You're allowed to use it for when you genuinely feel a post deserves a +1 or a -1, but spamming to help users reach 50 or whatever constitutes abuse.
Yeah true. It could be seen as vandalism or an attack against a forum member depending of which post got rated and in which direction.

I remember that when I was pn my first forum(Tifreakware) i had 19 posts in one day. Jim basically killed me. Lol. Because that was  a lot for not such an active site. Then I got contacted by the admin who told me to stop necroposting.
So, that is already a few years ago but in that time 19 posts was insane actually for one day.
And I have realised' that some people(mostly quite new ones)get very fast to 1000 or a bit less.
Sadly enough I'm sorry to say most of those posts aren' too constructive, which isn't too surprising. Most construcive posts take a while to write. So I would NOT base myself on post count, but maybe on respect or register date?

Woah. I have been requesting such a tool for ages. I just wish people told me what I did wrong instead of putting - in the most common posts. I guess it's too late now.

Good work Netham, and congrats on the +s DJ :P

Just wondering, what is the purpose of not letting ppl use the tool unless they have +50? Don't ppl have a right to view their respects? How can a noob/spambot mess it up? Unless there are other features to this tool i dont know about. :/

The issue is that the users with lower respect are generally newer, and those users tend to react much more violently to getting -1'd than the more seasoned members. We've seen it happen quite a few times where people blow up after getting -1'd when they don't agree with it.
