With -5, people could still mass downrate.

Some of us downrated every post that some user had posted because of lots of spam. Downrating all the spam posts got him down to under -250 O.O

yes, but all his posts had like -16, and he had 22 posts, so therefore, with the -5 limit the worst he could get is 22*5=110

Update:  We decided to remove the limit on respect points, so now everyone can see how much respect he/she has.

Not complaining, but I just lost 3 respect but it didn't show up on the list. Does it take time to update?

Try reading through the whole list for more recent posts.  It's related to the way it stores the ratings--they're not necessarily in chronological order.

Yeah I mean the mass downrating would be much less bad that way. Also the user that spams gets banned for vandalism anyway.

Yup, Darl's right.  The only way Netham was even able to make the list you see was to use data that does not store the timestamp. :/

I wonder if the rating system could be modified to store it? However old ratings would need to have a dummy date (like 1970-01-01) added and they would still not be in order.

Instead of simple having a limit of 5 upvotes/downvotes, would it be possible to not have a limit of how much a post can have but limit how many upvotes/downvotes on a single post can affect the total post ratings?

How do I get to this without going to this topic every time?

Also, Juju, I need to yell at you for using bad grammar >:D :P
You called it "An useful tool" instead of "A useful tool"

Spoiler For IMPORTANT NEWS!:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...
