Reminder about member file uploads
« on: June 12, 2011, 01:24:20 am »
I would like to remind our forum members that upload files in our archives that your files must be zipped and include instructions on how to use them, either in the description or in a txt file included with the game. Including the instructions inside a .tns file doesn't count: they must also be included in the download description or a readme.txt file, so the person doesn't need to install the file on their calculator to know how to use it. Also, if you give a link to the ticalc.org version, please give the file info page link, not a direct link to the actual file, because ticalc.org disallows hot-linking and your link will not work.

Otherwise your files will be rejected and you will be asked to re-upload them again in the right format.

Thank you for understanding.

I'm not sure if all of my files are zipped, do we need to zip them and upload them or does it automatically tells us they have to be zipped and won't accept them?

I think this remindal is very important. Thanks DJ

Sorry if I answer with something that seems unrelated, English is not my primary language and I might not have understood well. Sorry if I make English mistakes too.

Here we're talking about the Download section: http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads
If you add an image there, it has to be externally hosted.

In normal posts, you are free to upload in whichever format you like. :)

Yeah, in fact it was written. I'll try to be more focused next time when reading.
