oh, please dont take it down, most of the cool nspire stuff has some from TI-Bank, shutting it down would let the teachers win :(

He was to the point he could post news and had the highest moderator position on the forums, but not literally access to everything.

UPDATE (May 13th 2011): Critor has taken over TI-BANK administration from now on. The original admin will remain around, but less active. This means that TI-BANK will remain online.

Thanks to Critor! TI-BANK is a great community and info portal (even if I rarely visit (language difference)).

Mic removed the news he posted yesterday evening ( http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=news&ac=commentaires&id=1097 ), in which he made explicit apologies about his writings that could have been misinterpreted, and also made it official that critor was added as admin.
That's somewhat weird, because a blank news article does not help people understanding the events that occurred... and I don't think it's very kind to critor. Making it official that another admin (with full privileges, I mean - critor had already been peforming most of the newsing, file archiving and portal code fixing work for a while) was added to the team is usually an important event. Omnimaga mentions promotions and demotions of Coders of Tomorrow as well.

EDIT: added link.

Yeah I think the news should have been kept, because in it nothing bad was said, mostly apologies and it was actually convincing people that the site would be fine again. Now some people might ask why Mic isn't as active anymore.

Personally I would let it go, though, because if we keep jumping on him for every things he does that we disagree with, it could cause things to turn ugly again (like if everyone were against him all of a suddent). He had enough stuff to deal with.

On a side note now there are plans to move TI-BANK forum from Forumotion/actif to a self-hosted PhpBB site. This would be hard and take a while, because it requires running a script that scans through the entire forum web pages then convert the posts to a MySQL database, and everyone's passwords would be reset, but it would be a good idea IMHO because they would be able to backup the forums themselves in case bad stuff happens and they would have more freedom in customizing it. Forumotion is a free forum hosting like Invisionfree, which won't provide db access to the users, but unlike Invisionfree, there is no possibility to purchase a conversion to IPB/PhpBB when you want to leave Forumotion, although at least unlike Invisionfree you are allowed to have a non-english site.
