French people should rejoice: OmnomIRC now allows you to use the French chatroom #Omnimaga-Fr again. It used to be available on OmnomIRC v1.0, but when the shoutbox was rewritten, features went missing for a few months, including multi-channel support.

In addition to that, a few other channels were added to OmnomIRC. First of all, there is #Omnimaga-Spam, to satisfy the need of certain people around here to talk about USB catgirls and trolling Netham45 despite his contributions to Omnimaga . Besides that there's a channel that is only visible to forum moderators, there's an #Omnimaga-Radio channel, where it shows what song or DJ mix is currently playing on http://radio.57o9.org and finally, it is possible, via the OmnomIRC options, to enable a few third-party IRC channel (currently Lua and PRIZM channels) that are managed by other people in the community that are relevant to specific calculator topics. Keep in mind that third-party channels are not maintained by Omnimaga team, though, and if anything wrong happens there, we will not hold responsible. Also while the Spam channel has no rules regarding spam, remember that rules about adult warez, trolling and the like still applies there.

Also a few glitches were fixed as well and it is now possible for the staff to do some maintenance on the bot, for example when it stops sending lines to IRC.

UPDATE (Netham45) (6/17): The Omnimaga-Spam channel -IS- there, but it isn't for random pointless spamming. If people keep abusing it to flood, it will be removed.

1) Timestamps now show localized time (timezone difference, and AM/PM, if applicable)
2) IE support fixed(IE9 Only, IE8 and lower still not supported)
3) OmnomIRC now supports its own seperate-from-IRC channels. /join @chan and /part @chan to manage them
4) Various bugfixes and code-robustness fixes
5) UTF-8 support added

If anyone has any other suggestions for community chans (looking for existing ones, not that interested in making new ones just to populate the chan list), I'm all ears, too.

I wanted to see if Omnimaga-FR worked so I clicked it, but then It said :"OmnomIRC is disabled. Click here to enable.". So I did, but it stays the same. So ATM I can't see anything on omnomIRC.

I tried refreshing and deleting my cache. It didn't help.

Is it multi-network? So you can add channels on OmniNet?

Try deleting your cookies. I redid how part of the cookies are stored.

I could write again. Clicked 'Omnimaga-Fr' and I got the same problem again.

I like this idea, it makes the chat look nicer somehow.

Updated post above, to mention the /join support. You can't join irc channels with that, but it's now possible to create private chats!
