A Nspire powered by a non-TI rechargeable battery!

If you have a TI-Nspire TouchPad and think that TI batteries are too expensive or too rare in your current location, then this news is for you!
The TI rechargeable batteries have the following specifications:
- 3.7V
- 1280mAh
(white battery)
or 1060mAh
(black CX battery)
NeoCrisis has managed to power his TI-Nspire TouchPad with his Nintendo DS rechargeable battery!
3.7V and 1000mAh
Read his comprehensive description of the experience:
- in english on Omnimaga:
http://ourl.ca/14752
- in french on TI-Planet:

Awesome stuff! Now if only I didn't give my DS to my bro in exchange of his working 83+, because I'm certainly not touching my 3DS

The nspire rechargeable batteries aren't really very expensive. Replacement cell phone (and DS) batteries can run much higher, and it is shaped perfectly, plus being easy to set up. Nice salvage operation, though!

As Lionel says, this doesn't work on TI-Nspire ClickPad.
However, I'll be soon trying to power the Nspire through the USB port with battery packs.... but I can't tell anything right now!
Please note that it doesn't get charged through USB (or it is very very slow)but from the NDS charger..
Please also note that any support/comment/question must be asked on this topic:

Thanks!

well, it looked like you had only soldered two of the wires, which would explain the lack of charging.
