There are actually more keys on the CX? D: It's too bad when companies like TI forget what simplicity is :(

Notice the scanlines at the bottom of the screen on the colored stuff. As for the scary thing, it's the darkness of the LCD that is.

Oh, I didn't see the scanlines... As for the darkness, I thought the CX had a backlight.

But the Pocket looks really nice. Why does France get all the good designs? :P

Most of the Prizm pics I've seen are fakes anyways, so...
Besides, who cares about the viewing angle on a handheld? It's not like you'll be holding it like that. :P as long as it's at least 45 degrees, I'm fine with it.

Willrandship I own a prizm and I can tell you it's pretty fine at the angle the CX was in that pic. In that pic the angle isn't even that bad anyway, it's not like if it was held at 20° angle. Also it's annoying when you just move your head a bit while looking at your calc and everything suddently disappears at 30° angle like in that pic. And don't start a Casio vs TI war.

The apparent dithering artifacts may just be JPEG artifacts. JPEG compressors will see an almost-solid-black area and compress the heck out of it under the assumption that such minute details must be unimportant, not knowing that to us it's actually the most important part of the image :p

I hadn't thought of that. Phewf *Wipes brow.. But there's another possibility: the camera caught the screen in the act of refreshing.

That screen angle looks pretty straight forward to me. Besides who actually looks at the screen with their head directly above the calc? When you have a calc on your desk your viewing angle isn't straight anyways. What concerns me most was what the comment on the battery life. Having to turn the the back light off just to get through the day is unacceptable. I've had my Prizm since Christmas now and haven't changed the batteries once. I use it several hours everyday and have the back light on setting 3 out of 5. In fact it has even exceeded the 140 hour claim that Casio made with just the crappy factory supplied batteries that I've used so far.

List of stuff I need to do before September:
1. Finish the Emulator of the Casio Prizm (in active development)
2. Finish the the SH3 asm IDE/assembler/linker program (in active development)
3. Create a partial Java virtual machine  for the Prizm (not started)
4. Create Axe for the Prizm with an Axe legacy mode (in planning phase)
5. Develop a large set of C and asm libraries for the Prizm (some progress)
6. Create an emulator of the 83+ for the Prizm (not started)
7. Create a well polished game that showcases the ability of the Casio Prizm (not started)

Keep in mind the Prizm processor is setup slower than the Nspire, though. Also maybe the test was done differently. To confirm we would need to try using the calc as much as we did with a Prizm. I wouldn't be surprised if the CX was a big battery drainer, though.

IS the resolution on the Pocket still the same?  It would suck if they removed several pixels, but knowing TI...

That cx better be on low power mode. As with the 84 pocket, there's tons of empty space on a normal 84+ so I don't see why they would need to remove any hardware, although they probably used the smaller asic with less ram  <_<
It is bad luck to be superstitious.

Did you really have to use the ABCDEF keyboard layout, TI? Really?
See you, space cowboy...
