I guess. The stores probably pay like $120, or even less for a normal non-cas and TI sets the MSRP to $150 so they can make a decent profit margin. Underwood distributing decided to just make less profit per calc sold.

Yep, a couple: adriweb, yunhua98, and a few others.

$159.99 seems like a lot of money, but fair for this product. I won't buy it until some sort of Ndless has been made for OS 3 :D

I would be careful where you buy it, as said previously.  Maybe some of the cheaper ones don't include a slidecase and/or student software.  knowing TI, anything could happen.

I don't think the ones you buy in a store include a slidecase either. On one hand, they make their calcs more expensive, on the other, they cut costs by not including accessories. Thanks a lot, TI.

How true, how true.  I wonder if ti is sticking with their plan of selling the cover which costs them something like 25 cents for around five bucks?  There is always a big risk when doing business with people like that.

Or the calc OS is sold separately O.O

j/k, that would never happen, although sometimes, we never know...

I heard that one of the high level managers at ti is so greedy that he sold his mothers underware and it was in the middle of the winter and she froze her ass off.

I heard that they are going to sell invisible 3d implicit graphing on the nspire at a monthly rate?

they've just realised that not many people put a lot of time and effort into purchasing a calculator, and, because their name is so well established, they can overprice all they want and still keep the majority of the market. still, their ridiculous pricing has now resulted in losing at least one customer  ::)

There are units that INCLUDE a full TI Student Software? If I could afford these maybe I'd have time to do my hilariously slow programming.

Then they might be required to have a way for us to use our own OS if we don't want to buy theirs. So it could be a good thing.
