Ticalc.org divides 83+ BASIC directories
« on: November 21, 2006, 07:22:00 am »
It has come to my attention that ticalc.org started dividing the TI-83+ BASIC Games directory into game genre. I've noticed this while I was checking my author profile and saw that Zelda was now in the TI-83+ BASIC RPGs directory (even though all my other RPGs are still in the BASIC Games directory), along with a few other RPG files. I have no clue if it is official yet but I hope it is, as it will give better browsing experience in ticalc.org archives (it is not easy to load a html page that take several megabytes on old computers and slow connections).

Heh, I guess 'cause the basic game library just got soooo huge with all those n00b games in there. XDsmiley.gif Maybe they should make a directory labelled "good basic games" :Dbiggrin.gif

yeah this should also give people a reason to not use IE anymore, as IE seemed to be the only browser that loaded the BASIC games section fast and the only few pages it loaded faster than other browsers XDsmiley.gif

heh. it would be more comfortable to have a
"crappy games folder" to throw in all the bad stuff.

We submitted a math program a month and a half ago, but they still haven't added it.  When we uploaded it, the queue was about 21 people (minimal), but it's been a pretty long time.  Any ideas as to what's up?

the archivers have prob. been too busy working on this reorganization to be able to put in much time to upload new files....just a guess though, maybe ask over there

well if it was a quadratic solver or another math program that alerady has different version in their archives made by other people its probably why it didn't got accepted, as they no longer accept those (too many in the archives), like how calcgames.org doesnt accept snake and guessing game anymore

It was a program that Evan made back in the 8th grade, when he had Algebra 2.  It was a menu of formulas, and each menu had a sub-menu, which listed the formulas and how they were used.  It was very helpful, but it's been a really long time.  They tell you within a few days if it's been rejected for some reason, but we haven't heard from them.

yeah i dunno what they did with it, maybe its still sitting in archives, or they decided to no longer accept any math files.

but they seems to have download stats problems cuz before Zelda DLQ was moved it had 30000 dowloads and now it dropped to 29912, and some stats seems to have frozen, since I have been stalling at 100400 ish download for the entire week, and it sometimes decrease instead of increasing every day (by a few dozen of dll)
