Ticalc.org Hiring
« on: January 30, 2011, 01:52:35 pm »
Ticalc.org has started hiring to fill their position for primary news editor-the office responsible for featuring programs and posting news. The only qualifications are a love of calcs (which I think we all have ;)), a time commitment, high availability, and an eye for news, so if you think you've got what it takes, submit an application by Sunday February 13th 2011.

More information can be found in the news article

Hmm, thought about applying, but I think being staff on Omnimaga, and heading up EeeZor is enough for now.

Hrm, I don't think I'll apply.  I have too many things on my plate at the moment.
My website: Currently boring.

Projects:
Axe Interpreter
   > Core: Done
   > Memory: Need write code to add constants.
   > Graphics: Rewritten.  Needs to integrate sprites with constants.
   > IO: GetKey done.  Need to add mostly homescreen IO stuff.
Croquette:
   > Stomping bugs
   > Internet version: On hold until I can make my website less boring/broken.

Good point.  Still, I suck at writing announcements and such, and I'd rather be writing programs then reviewing them.  I don't think I'd be good for ticalc :P

thing is, I would love this position sooo much :)

writing news... that would be so awesome!  If I will apply (which I most certainly will) I'll tell them I can give at least 1 hour a day (though in the long run, possibly moar)

I suggest everyone to try out!  Of course it is unpaid... :P  (j.k, I would die for this job even if I had to pay to get it!)

I would apply if it wasn't for my English grammar not being perfect enough for such site. I also have barely any experience in 68K and Linux material. X.x

That said it would be nice if the person who applied was one who check forums regularly, so he can read more info about released programs as well as opinions about them, to have an idea of what is newsworthy or not. Ticalc is really in dire need of news. I tried to make up for the lack of news there lately but Omnimaga only focuses on games and dev tools and most people who come here comes for the forums.

Hmm...  I really don't have the eye out enough lol.  All programs seem pretty great for me, I don't think I'd apply.  ;)
