Umm... DigiTan hinted there might be a small demon on feb 14 but said there was nothing was carved in stone. Sonic is always being worked on yet nothing seems to get done. I might be wrong though (and I hope I am).

well if you look at the bright side of TIcalc.org's demise it is that the remaining TI sites will become more active since people will have less of a choice of where to go
but it is still very sad when this sort of thing happens

it may make other sites less active at first though, because ticalc is the most known TI site, so if they ever closed people may think the community as a whole is dead, which isn't the case at the moment (I even think it is a bit more active than last year in average due to the many projects being worked on)
TI official site has calcgames.org linked on their calc pages though, so people may go there instead. They no longer advertise ticalc.org since the CD fiasco in 2001

Apparently some pornographic material made it's one onto an official TI CD.
Well, there's some new news.

It seems as if ticalc.org is dyeing, I would pay money to help keep it alive if I could..It is not that it has the most files, but also is visited more than any other archive site (many different types of people visit newbies<->programmers).
If someone could email/msg on IRC to MV, let them know people still care (willingness to donate/code). I would love to see someone add a automatic file archiver, but with admin approval (have it upload and all, but can not download till approval).

yeah thats what I said in a previous post. Michael V and duncan are still active but that seems to be about it. Maybe they saw this topic and moved their butt to not sound like the site is dead anymore.

Downloads still seems high, but it could be lot of spambot clicks, cuz spambots invaded the web quite bad in the past year. THey may also justify the increase in traffic and bandwidth usage on most sites, including ticalc and Omnimaga

I hope that it is not the end, but I would not be surprised if it was for ticalc.org...
