Some interesting new utilities have come out lately in the TI community. First of all, Excale from TI-BANK forums has released an interesting online tool that allows you to convert images into TI-Nspire format pictures.

Simply upload your image in the following site and it's done! http://tnic.franceserv.fr/ Try to use common sense and keep them PG-Rated, though. :P
More info on TI-BANK website and thank Critor for the picture above: http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=news&ac=commentaires&id=896
In other news, Merthsoft from Cemetech has recently released an utility called TokenIDE. It lets you edit TI-BASIC programs on the computer, but it also features many things such as a sprite editor, an image converter with the ability to convert a certain part of an image to 8xi and a Doors CS GUI editor.

Discussion about the project can be found on Omnimaga (http://ourl.ca/6647) and Cemetech (http://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4798).
Finally, TC01 has recently released a command line software that lets you search files on ticalc.org and download them. It also lets you download them all at once. In the future, it will also feature an IRC bot that allows users in an IRC channel to type commands (via public or private, depending of the channel settings) to search for files and obviously a flood control feature.

If you ever wanted to find out how many quadratic, "qadratic", "quadartic", "quadatic" and "qaddattic" solvers there are on ticalc.org, but also to quickly find and download files, download it here (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/433/43348.html)!
Discussion can be found here (http://ourl.ca/8043) and here (http://cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5392).

Can you send me the image you tried to convert by email?

Thanks!

Already? O.O That said, I guess this is not surprising, though. I hope they won't remain stored on your server when people convert them, in case your host would shut you down (You can delete them I guess, but it can be hard if you are busy or in vacation in another country). X.x

PHP has a magick function: unlink (and not un-lick ;D).
-
Ah, right. I do not know PHP so...
-
I wonder if I should set something like this up.
-
What do you mean? ???
-
Create a php converter script so it's all run on the cloud. Unlink() and all, with the standard disclaimer etc.
-
Ah ok, I'm not really familiar with that stuff. X.x
