Title: Voting for 2012 Apocalypse TI-83+/TI-84+ Programming Contest Entries
Post by: Yeong on December 22, 2012, 08:51:19 am
What's this?! We all lived!  :o

Anyways, now that the contest is over, I'll upload the programs to let the people give their opinion - on poll!

I've received 4 entries and here they are!

-Battle 4000
-One Day Left
-Juke II
-Cataclysm

This poll will run for 3 days (until Christmas!)

NOTE: For One Day Left, all you need is ONEDAY.8xp and 2 appvars archived. Rest of them are sources.

Hey,

I didn't had enough time for readme file, so here it is:
You need ONEDAY.8xp ; OneDayMp.8xv (should be archived) and OneMapTx.8xv (either in archive or RAM, but of course better archived :))
Controls : Arrow keys, [2nd] to validate/make actions and [clear] to exit. After dialogs you can press any key.
And if you have random errors (like error:syntax or error:invalid) when exiting, sorry but I really don't know why they are here.

Bye and Merry Christmas

(and vote for me please :))

It's not exactly good etiquette imo :P but there doesn't seem to be anything against it..
/me wonders if he can get his 84 alive long enough to test these

You should maybe rename this topic to Vote for your favorite 2012 Apocalypse TI-83+/TI-84+ Programming Contest entry!, so that when it appears in OmnomIRC, people don't think it's just a new post in the old topic due to the identical title start. :P

And Darl181 people typically did it in the Ticalc POTY. It isn't necessarily honest, but if someone is really proud of his entry then I guess he is free to vote for it, plus if everyone happens to vote for their own entry, then this won't make much of a difference in the final result. :P

Yeah, I should've gave it more time.
How do I extend the voting period? I would like to extend it for another day.

I don't see a way to extend it. XD You could remove it or post a new one. Or perhpas pm an admin and see if they can extend it. Also, maybe give it till new eve midnight?

An admin or CoT has to do it I think. He has to edit the poll directly and change the time.

I would say give until Dec 26th night or Dec 27th morning, so people who got their gifts today still have time to enjoy them for a bit and people who live in commonwealth nations can enjoy their national Black Friday-ish store rampage. :P

Darl: Wabbit. :)
True, but it's just not quite the same experience...? Idk, I guess an emulator would do it well enough :P

Edit: extended poll, now it has another day from now ;)

I ran it using DCS7 and it worked fine. It is rather awesome o.o If I had been around to vote, I would have voted for that as the graphics are really cool o.o
