I just gave my old laptop that had XP (I call it the Craptop) to my friend, but I'm sure he'll let me test stuff on it, as long as it isn't to broken by that time.

I use windows 7 on my main PC and Lappy. XP on my netbook.
xp pwns vista completely.
xp pwns 7 by allot. especially startup time (10-15 min with only Norton on startup and performance over speed options.)
No, 7 pwns xp in so many ways, although xp is great. Your error here is using Norton. Norton should be classified as a computer virus in itself, when you install it it's hard to get it's claws out of your system. It took my dad days to fully uninstall it when we changed virus protection to Trend Micro.
Ok, back on topic now, no bashing OS's

EDIT: although I want to know how you got 10-15 minute startup, mine takes like a minute or two, and I'm on an older system (single core)

I use Windows 7, Ubuntu 10.10, TIOS, and KnightOS.  (Although KOS crashes on my calc for some reason)

I hate norton, everyone does.
But as we don't need to pay for it, because of my dad's work, we keep it.

I honestly don't know why it takes so long. Although my computer says it takes norton over 7 min. itself

Get Avast, it's free, and just as good, well better, and your computer should boot a lot faster

Does this mean you gave up the computer that had xp? As in the computer you used to test Oasis stuff?

Windows 7 64-bit and Fedora 13 (well, at the moment- I plan to update to 14 eventually).

I also have a Windows XP (32-bit of course) netbook, and a flash drive with Knoppix 6.2.1 installed.

The userbars in my sig are links embedded links.

And in addition to calculator (and Python!) stuff, I mod Civilization 4 (frequently with Python).

Or you could install Linux, which doesn't need antivirus software :)

I have Windows 7 64-bit and Fedora 14, also 64-bit. :)
Though, because of an annoying problem when I use Fedora (I can't control the backlight on my laptop, so battery gets drained quickly), I don't use it as often. I can still test for it, though.

I have Windows Vista 32-bit, Ubuntu 10.10 on a thumb drive, and Mac OS X 10.6 at school, which I all use about equally.

I have Windows 7 Professional (with XP Mode) and Arch Linux. I also have copies of nearly every Windows version released, so I could install them in a virtual machine if I want. Want support for Windows 3.11? :P

Lol :P Hmm, I think 95/8 and up should be good. Although I'm not to worried about issues past XP

I'm not sure if this will compile correctly with 64 bit, though.

What might the issues be? We can just compile it for 32-bit if we have to and 64-bit will just have to run the 32-bit version
