You could do a big poll thing like in the last art contest. That way everyone gets to be a judge.

not for programs. It is a matter of consistancy.

That's what I think should happen...

same here, that way its easier to have judges, imagine if you hired lot of judges and they didnt do anything. Maybe two rounds would be cool too

Or, what if they happen to be bias and vote for someone they like. Also the entrees should remain unknown during voting.

The issue of judging a GAME is that there is an issue of length and consistancy. "I played the game and I saw a pretty picture in the first 5 seconds so I give it a perfect score"-that is an exagerated example of why. Also, the closer to the top of a list is, the more likely it will win in most cases. I have a rubrick to compare each game, one I would not believe everyone else would follow. Finally, after a number of these games are added to archive, a poll for the forum's favorite could be done. So, short answer, if you want to judge than aplly. I am also dropping a number of things from the application...

Good reasons. Judges won't be able to enter then?

correct. you would have an obvious...bias...
however, perhaps there could be a judge only competition where the rest of the forum decides which is the best.

Maybe an anonymous poll would be easier. Or you judge them all by yourself. Or we take turns judging by ourselves. ACC judged the entire UTI Basic contest by himself.

well, the contest is closing. If you still want to get an entry in, the cut off date is fast approaching and as of 12:00 EST time, no entries will be accepted.
