Well, suggest stipulations like "game with over 20 enemies" or "game that uses every button" or such, they will make things more intresting or "animation where only pixel changes per frame" or "all graphics using only line commands". Well, get to it.

HERE IT IS
How about the contest being: must use xLIB, make a dungeon that has at least 10 rooms and X enemies. Something like that would be fun. Kinda like a remake of the dungeons in TOC (Sams zelda)..

I would rather pure basic, but I thought since most everyone is using xLIB on their projects here then just use it in a contest...

yeah I though since UTI and BPC does pure BASIC contests and MaxCoderz ASM we could do the xLIB ones, I hate to see how xlib seems banned everywhere

Not that it's banned, but it isn't really favored at UTI...Almost everything you can do with xLIB you can do in pure basic, but not nearly as fast...But some people don't seem to think that way >.<

each game will have variable stipulations (iow, some will be pure, other xlib, some may have you use just the basic line command and nothing more)
+sprites of 256 colours
+must feature no more than 3 weapons, items, ships, and enemies.
+must use no more than one line of xlib sprites and may not use any graphics except the sprite command or text
+all ascii graphics

I hope it wasnt meant to be an attack indirectly aimed toward me, because I prefer using xLIB for better speed and more features?

Nope, I meant it saying that it isn't as fast as using xLIB most of the time. I was saying people will not understand that using xLIB helps the speed of the game and other things. Sorry if it sounded like an attack on anyone, as it was not intended to be one.
