this is called a netplit. you saw every one die because the servers were no longer linked together. and then they got relinked and everyone was alive again :D

In other words, #omnimaga sort-of became two Efnet channels. Half of the people on one side, the rest on the other. However sometimes only 2 people remains on one side.
