well I dont have character sprites/gun sprites unfortunately
but when i get time I could make 8xi version of the pictures and send them to you. Btw will the game use split screen mode from MODE menu or a graphical split screen (I mean both half are graphical)?
EDIT: as for enemies I will try to find some NES sprites from random games or probably doom sprites. Imho the enemies and char/gun/item sprites should be b/w since resolution is small, so it will be easier to make difference between walls and enemies if the enemy is very big
