BASIC RPG [Title TBD]

Hey guys, i should have posted this here ages ago.
I figured that since i made xLIB, i may as well use it
. Therefore im going to make a relatively short RPG in BASIC with it. More of a small demonstration i guess ... plus ive never made a BASIC game before!
Here is a very early screenshot:
Thats the speed it should be on the BE, it runs really nice on an SE
.

lol when you told me you were making a BASIC game I was like o.o
because you have been coding ASM for 2-3 years and no basic at all, then you make a BASIC game
I like the work put in the tiles and sprites and it seems to run pretty fast even with animated maps. I hope to see this finished ^^
EDIT: I think you should have the 1337 sword included in the game (*points to Necro avatar on MC*)

I second the 1337 sword. ^^
The screenshot is nice and fast; I would suggest making the more sand sprites so the beach edge is smoother, if that doesn't take up too much memory.
Keep up the good work.

You mean smoother as in where the water meets the beach? I will be doing that, hopefully i will have enough tile space left (i hate corners
).

hehe that reminds me RL3, lot of square areas/corners, etc. I kinda solved this with reuben quest but it takes lot of sprites o.o
and I yet have to fix this with Metroid too, altough I dunno if I'll do it (over 100 maps to edit) :knight:
your maps still look cool though

Well now that i actually have an 83+ compatible calc i will be able to work on this easier. Ive been thinking about how battles will work ... it will be a little different than some rpgs

Yeah I remember you talked to me about it, and yea it will be much easier to code on calc I think, no need to send in emulators, test, debug, resend to emu, test, debug, etc
