Roguelike on Nspire
« on: July 17, 2013, 08:06:18 pm »
I was wondering if anyone was interested in making a roguelike for the nspire. I think a port of brogue would be awesome!! It would definitely take me back to the good old days and still be really fun :)

Maybe you could try to do it yourself ? This way you'll learn about the wonderful world of programming and have the satisfaction to play the game you crafted with your very hands. :D

I wonder if porting 68K C to ARM C would be hard? There's already a nice CalcRogue for the TI-89 so maybe that could be ported but with better graphics?

Yeah the engine could be ported no problem, only the graphical part would need to be rewritten. Also stuff that depends on GCC4TI or TIGCC libraries will need to be fixed. I'm pretty sure some people here are ready to help you if you're stuck. ;)
