Madskills: well actually you can just jailbreak your iPod/iPhone to run unsigned apps...so if you were to work on it, I could test all the beta's.

That is exactly what I was saying it would have to be done for a jailbroken device. I probably shouldnt have said official iphone/iTouch I meant one running official OS/software. For one they dont allow people to run software that allows for programming on it. BASIC would have got that rejected even before release. I'm busy working on official stuff right now, that I could still use people to test send me a PM if your interested. I probably cant send out anything until June but ya.

I assume they probably did that so third party apps can't compete against theirs x.x. It kinda reminds me TI and the Nspire. I wish companies would realise that making their devices more open to third party dev can actually increase their sales in the end since it attracts a wider audience and people who are not tech savy will not jailbreak their device and continue buying apps in the store, so they won't lose much money from developers who quit buying apps/games.

Ya I bought a PSP because as soon as they were hacked/modded so I could exploit it. Generally to play roms on the go. They say that piracy is so bad, and I think it is a factor in hurting some sales. But I think that the majority of good games are still going to sell well whether people are pirating them or not. I'm glad that Apple is at least allowing some jailbroken stuff to come to the official software/OS like custom wallpapers.

Not to mention not that many people play such old games compared to new ones, too. When I hear people talk in the street or at work, I rarely ever hear friends talking about how they beaten Super Mario World  last night.

At school, we frequently play NES and SNES games such as Street Fighter and etc. We talk of that and how I failed at the first Goomba in World 1-1 of Super Mario Bros. 1. today :P
