This is an entirely new FFR3 (remember I had one with 16x16 tiles a while ago?), well I'm at it again this time with 8x8 tiles and a faster engine. Here's a handy dandy list of current and planned fratures for FFR3 (this seems to be the thing to do now)
--Current features
-Random Arrow Gameplay
-"GOOD" and "MISS" bannerthingies
-Fast engine speed
--Planned features
-Battles, not real time though
-Score and max combos (not displayed in-play to keep speed up)
-GS menus and title screen
-Custom songs
-Song packs you can D/L (each song pack will be a program with 5 songs)
-Same speed on all calcs
-Insane turbo speed option on the 83+SE/84+ line
-2 arrow lines to make it more like the real FFR
And as always, here's a screenie.

WOW >.>
That looks reallyfast, but I think the person who took the screen shot isn't very good at FFR
. I hope to see this finished, but no pressure!

Are you putting back all features from FFR1/2 in the 3nd one? Sound cool, the new ones look promising... BATTLES? o.o

Either battles (not likly though, as it would be slow IMO), but using double pads some way?

nonono... like I enter into Battle Mode, and select Record, then I play a song, and send it to a friend. (or just keep it) They enter Battle Mode and select Battle and they play against the song I gave them. (each song has 2 modes, so they play mode 1/2 depengind on which one I played) So they play the accomanyment to my song, and it ranks me, them, and both together. (Battle is a bad word for this) It's like playing a double, with 2 people, seperately. Fun thing though, I have to admit the engine is a tiny bit slower here though, and if I add multi-keypresses it's slow down even more

hey that sound like a good idea, that will be challenging, you should also have against computer mode as well, with different difficulty ^^

ROFL, I think that would be pretty difficult (slow). But it would be cool, maybe a SE/84 line only feature?

yep, that would be kewl... Would be easy to make even with difficulty levels...
you could just do
(D contains difficulty lvl, the higher D, the higher the difficulty)
If rand
Then
Hit the right button
Else
Hit random wrong button
End

What I though is that computer steps could be generated before the game starts, stored in a list so there would not be much speed differences. Kinda like my racing game
