if you need help making tile maps u can use the old xlib its a lot easier

but the old xLib's are also slower, especially the Asm-versions...

Okay, just letting you know this isnt dead. Although I havent done a whole lot, i am stil working. I'll probably use the xlibs demo program for the walking engine and the sprite sheet since im tired of screwing with the other one. But, other than that, progress is fairly smooth.

 Have you not seen tr1p1eas code for the new one? It's really good, better than some peoples I seen >.>

 The old one was so new people would understand it a little more, but now I guess he was going for the best way. He made it amazingly fast, and I think it's a great base engine if you need one.
