Omnimaga - The RPG
«
on:
August 23, 2006, 06:30:00 am »
Considering that I have finished my TI Freak Ware contest entry, I'm going to be making a tile-mapped RPG (which I have never made before): Omnimaga - The RPG. I'm going to make it in C for 68k calculators and I'm going to use ExtGraph and the tile-mapping routines with it. Also, some of the characters in Omnimaga - The RPG will be actual members of this forum
. If you don't want to be in the RPG for some reason, please tell me. I won't make you look bad or anything
. xlibman will probably be some kind of king, and maybe just the managers or all of the staff will be xlibman's guards or assistants or something. I'll have to figure out what other members would be.
Also, some of you have already made RPGs, and if you have any four-level grayscale tiles you'd be willing to let me use, that'd be great. I'm also not very good at making title screens, so I'd appriciate if somebody could make a four-level grayscale title screen saying "Omnimaga" and under it or somewhere, saying "The RPG".
I've never made an RPG before, particularly a tile-mapped one, so I'd also appreciate any tips you expert RPG makers out there have.
List of members that want to be in the RPG:

An Omnimaga-RPG... funny idea! but making it for 68k-calcs wouldn't have been my choice cause most omnimaga users just have z8-calcs...

I would, but I have more experience with C for 68k calculators then Z80 assembly for the TI-83+ (and I don't know much about TI-83+ TI-BASIC or xLIB). Good point though; I'll try to later on
Also, so you aren't going to be in the RPG, correct (just checking)?

Also, would you mind making a four-level grayscale 160x100 title screen for me that has "Omnimaga" and "The RPG" in it?

Thanks, Spelli! I was thinking something maybe like that, except "Omnimaga" would be bigger than "THE RPG". I like the capital letters for "THE RPG" though. Still a nice title screen, Spelli

z80 and 68k are processor type: Zilog80 and Motorolla 68000
TI-80 use TI proprietary processor, TI-81 to TI-86 and TI-73 uses the z80 and TI-89, 92 and v200 use 68k

The "z80" or Zilog 80, is a processor, and "68k", or Motorola 68000, is also a procesor. The Morotola 68000 processor is generally more advanced, has a different syntax in its version of assembly, and has some other things different.
And yeah, like xlibman said, the TI-80 uses the TI proprietary processor, the TI-81 to the TI-86 and TI-73 use the z80 processor, and the TI-89, TI-92 and Voyage 200 use the 68k processor.
